Jägermeister

My husband loves to drink this liqueur because he always say it doesn't give him hang over. I tried it and yup this drinks was so good and really no effect in the morning even though I'm drunk at night.

In everything I don't know about it... I always research, so again I'm sharing what I read about this liqueur we love to drink.

Jägermeister (ˈjeːgəˌmɑɪstʰə) Liqueur 35% Alcohol by Volume (70 Proof). An herbal-flavored bitter German liqueur, made from a blend of over 50 herbs, roots, fruits and spices. It is the flagship product of Mast-Jägermeister AG, headquartered in Wolfenbüttel, south of Braunschweig, Germany. Contrary to an urban legend, it does not contain any deer or elk blood. Jägermeister promotes responsible drinking :Government Warning: (1) According to the Surgeon General, women should not drink alcoholic beverages during pregnancy because of the risk of birth defects, (2) consumption of alcoholic beverages impairs your ability to drive a car or operate machinery, and may cause health problems. You must be of legal drinking age (determined by your government) to consume this product.alert('You must be of legal drinking age (determined by your government) to consume this product.')

This is a famous mixed drink with Jägermeister. My husband always mixed this for me and thats on thing my friend like because I don't need to spend alot of money to go to a bar because I have my own bartender. ;)

Mixology: 1 can Red Bull energy drink, 1 ounce Jagermeister herbal liqueur
Oh, jager bomb, how we love you. One can of Red Bull will set you back 110 calories, while one ounce of Jagermeister has 103. If you like the sugar-free option, you save 100 calories, which makes it a decent choice for the weight-conscious. Random fact: Jagermeister is made from 56 different herbs, including rhubarb roots from the Himalayas and chamomile blossoms from Egypt, writes John J. Poister in his book The New American Bartender’s Guide.bn

Small World

It was so hard to be in a transition period in life. Living in a place where all your family, relatives and friends are far. When you think of you are away from them you will really cry so better think you're just there next door with them and just don't have time to visit them. I know I'm just fooling myself but at least it helps me to stay brave away from my parents.

After one year, it was nice to know people that are from our dearest place but how can we know that they are ok? I mean how will we know they are good person? It just so hard to trust people you don't know. You know about crab mentality? That's one of the Pilipino traits I really hate. A lot of Pilipino here advised me not to trust right away. Why? Because they might be the one destroy your reputation in a long run. Hmmmp.... I know it's not easy not to talk with our "kabayan". It really made me happy to talk with them but again they say not to trust right away. Well I guess I will just trust my instinct. If they are not ok, just let show them your not interested to be their friend and if I felt they are fine, I still need to evaluate the true personality.

Before working I met two Pilipino in a parking lot and it was great to know they are Ilokanoes and they are from my fathers' town. It's a small world because the person I met was my father's "ka tropa" they are friends when they are kids. Wow that's nice to know one of my fathers' friends in his childhood time. Now, is it ok to be a friend to my fathers' friend? For me yes why not? It will make my papa happy to know about his long lost friend. He will be my uncle here but of course I really need to know him first before I will trust him.

Also in my work I met six Filipinoes there and I was so happy to talk with them on our break time. So far they are all nice to me. I hope they are all ok be to my new friends here. But again I can't help it, my brain always remind me to know them more before trusting them.

Gout Foot

Since College time my foot hurting me every time I stand up too long and if I walk so much miles. I look at it and my left foot not really looks normal like my right one but it's not swollen it just ache if I do those two things. It's actually the joint that is getting bigger compare last time. So I'm guesing it's maybe Gout Foot.

What is Gout Foot?

Gout is a form of arthritis that occurs as a result of the build-up of uric acid in the body and the joint fluid ( hyperuricemia ). This accumulation of uric acid typically occurs when the body has difficulty processing certain protein substances called purines (PURE-EENS) that are found naturally in our diets.

The actual build-up of uric acid can result when the body has difficulty eliminating uric acid through the kidneys and urine, or in some cases, when the body produces too much uric acid. The tendency to accumulate uric acid is often hereditary. It can, however, skip an individual or even a generation and reappear in the children of someone who has no signs of gout. While it is most commonly seen in males between fifty and sixty years of age, gout does occur in females and in younger males.

Symptoms of Gout Foot

Gout usually starts with a sudden onset of intense pain in one or more joints, usually the big toe joint of the foot. The pain is accompanied by redness, swelling and warmth over the joint. Typically, the patient does not recall injuring the joint before the pain started. Many patients say they first noticed pain in the middle of the night or upon arising in the morning.
While symptoms most commonly occur in the big toe joint, any joint may be involved. Other common sites are the instep of the foot, the ankle, or the knee. When the foot is involved, wearing shoes is difficult and painful, as are attempts to move the joint or stand on the foot.

Treatment for Gout Foot Symptoms

Call us immediately. Let us know if you have a red, hot big toe joint (or other joint) and we will get you in right away. In the meantime, you should rest and not walk if you can avoid it. Putting a hot pad or an ice pack on the joint may ease the pain. Avoid any pressure on the foot – even the weight of sheets can be painful. Medicines that you can take without a prescription that reduce inflammation, such as aspirin or ibuprofen may help. When you come to the office we will evaluate your foot to determine if the problem is gout or some other problem (such as an infection). We may have a blood draw done to check for infection and also to check the level of uric acid in your blood. Once we are confident the problem is gout we will prescribe medication that usually relieves the pain fairly rapidly – it will usually resolve completely within a few days. We will also provide treatment to limit the pain while you wait for the medicine to take effect.

After reading the information above... I guess I need to set an appointment to know what's this pain on my foot joint. It's better to be sure and prevent more pain in the future.

So Crazy

Did you experienced somebody pour cold water in your face while you are sleeping? Unluckily this morning I woke up so mad because my 7th month old son poured cold water to my face. That's so crazy. For the first time in my life I experienced something that I never taught my son will do it to me. I guess there will be much to experience with our boy. Need more patience when our own child does crazy things to us.

To all my online mother friends don't forget to take note and share to them when they grow old. It's fun to talk about what they do when they are kids especially sharing things to their husband and wife to be. I remember my mother in law shared about things my husband did before...gosh somethings are the same with our son. It's just nice to know.

Banana Blossoms

When I was a kid I never knew banana blossoms can be eaten. I only heard a story that when you wait for the crystal stone that will come out in the blossom, you will have special power to fight those bad people.

But my mother taught me how to eat the blossoms or the heart of the banana. We eat it just by simply boiling it and dip it with the fish sauce ( bagoong) and eat with rice. Also my aunt made salad out of it. And even burger patti made of banana heart.

Banana FlowerThe flower of the banana plant (also known as banana blossom or banana heart) is used in Southeast Asian, Tamil, Bengali and Kerala (India) cuisine, either served raw with dips or cooked in soups and curries. The tender core of the banana plant's trunk is also used, notably in the Burmese dish mohinga, Bengali and Kerala cooking. Bananas fried with batter is a popular dessert in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. So not only in the Philippines but also in other Asian Country.

I will share some economic and healthy burger:

Bananas

ban4There are a lot of varieties of bananas in the Philippines. I miss those bananas. It's always part of our meal. If somebody saw me eating banana they will say " kain nguy". It's ok they will call me "nguy" a nickname for monkey because I admit I can eat banana as much as I can in one seating. Sometimes if we don't have vain...We will eat rice with banana and it's already a meal. I can assure banana is nutritious, delicious and economical fruit.

Bananas are a good source of dietary fibre, Vitamin C and potassium. A plain banana is less than 1% fat and 364 kilojoules per 100g. When harvested when the fruit is mature but still green the banana is mostly starch and about 1% sugar. As they ripen the starch converts entirely to sugar.

Let me enumerate the bananas I know we produce in our country.

1. Lakatan - long finger shape, orange color with a sweet aroma taste which are usually serve as table fruit in some occasion

2. Senorita - are most found in cold places like Tagaytay /laguna/batangas or commonly known as CALAVARZON which particularly grow with mild climate. smaller in nature coapred to Latundan matched with a thin skin that may last only from 2-3 days ripening period. This is so sweet.

3. Saba - used commonly for cooking like fried, boiled, roasted banana, turon and is widely spread all over the country.

4.Latundan - tastes bitter to sweet, commonly used as curefor diarrhea loose vowel movement. In some cases, mothers feed their children with this kind to improve thier child’s digestive organ…

5. Butuan - likely similar to SABA but bigger shapes, has tiny black seeds and thicker skin. Most are found in the Visayas region.

6. Sweet Banana Milk - wilder variety of Latundan with a sweeter taste and aroma. last with almost black peel but has a firm and white meat inside. This can be find in some areas with virgin forest and wildly breed by several backyard growers in the Northern part of Luzon like Ilocos Region and Viscaya region..

7. Red bananas are a variety of bananas with a reddish-purple skin. They are smaller and plumper than the traditional Cavendish banana. When ripe, raw red bananas have a flesh that is cream to light pink in color, and their texture is somewhat soft and sweeter than the yellow Cavendish varieties, with a slight raspberry-banana flavor. They are best eaten soft, but not bruised. They are imported from Costa Rica and are a favorite in Central America, red bananas are also known as Jamaican bananas.

8. Cavendish - having a long finger like with white meat and thick skin. This variety may last up to 40 days if not treated. Common exporters send this one to mny countries but is not sellable in the Philippines because of its lesser taste and aroma. Its most likely cheaper than any other banana.

ban2I remember back there I usually bought fruit bunch and it will only stay for two days thats with supervision if not only one day and it's gone. All of us loves señorita. Atleast now my mom told me our plant gave them more fruits now. Actually before I left our plant gave us fruit bunch. That was so nice. I love it.

I taugth bananas here are yummy, honestly bananas in our country are the best banana I ever ate.

Proverbs 3:5-6

SLUG

Here in Northwest part of USA, we can find a lot of slug. They like to stay in a cold place. They look yuck the first time I saw it. They are actually like snail without shell.

The slug is a gastropod, a soft-bodied type of land mollusk that lacks an external shell - they are closely related to snails. These invertebrates (animals with no backbone) usually live in moist areas on land. The biggest slug in North America is the plant-eating banana slug (Ariolimax columbianus).

The slug creeps along on its large, muscular foot by contracting a series of muscles on the underside of the body (making a wave that goes from the back end to the front). A special gland in the foot secretes mucus (a slimy fluid) that helps the slug move. The slug leaves a trail of slime behind them when they move.

Slugs have two pairs of tentacles on the head - they have a light-sensitive eyespot located on the top of each of the larger tentacles. The smaller pair of tentacles is used for the sense of smell and the sense of touch.

Most slugs eat plants, fungus and decaying vegetable material (they are detrivores or herbivores), but some are predators (carnivores). Slugs eat using a radula, a rough tongue-like organ that has thousands of tiny tooth-like protrusions called denticles.

Slugs breathe oxygen through a hole in the side of their head (a pneumostome, meaning "air hole"). Slugs also absorb oxygen directly through their moist skin.

Slugs are hermaphroditic - each slug contains both male and female reproductive organs. Slugs lay clutches of 20 to 100 tiny eggs on the surface of the soil; they can fertilize the eggs themselves.

Many animals eat slugs, including birds, fish, frogs, snakes, turtles, mammals (like raccoons and shrews), and many insects (including beetles).

Shoe Car

There are a lot of creations that we can only find in the Philippines. When I saw this picture I can really tell no other country will think of doing such things but Pilipino. It's so unique and I'm so proud only Pilipino can do those things. It's not easy to be creative enough to have that shoe car. It's crazy but it's so nice to look at it. This is so cute.

Luke 5:32

Caregiver

Year 2000 I'm planning to take caregiver course. Not too much school time, can work abroad and it's in demand. We already know what's the reason why people enroll for caregiver. As always to work abroad to be able to earn more money than what we earn in our country.

In this movie, Sharon Cuneta is willing to give up her profession for caregiver. She was petition by her husband to London. And luckily found work and do all she can for her job. She's doing all these things for her husband and son. As always Filipino wives are submissive type but atleast in this movie Sharon stand for what she knows what is right.

Seventh Month

Today's ours babys' 7th month. These are the development that I should observe in his 7th month.

Milestones this month*
Your baby now can bear weight on his legs when you hold him upright.
He can sit without support.
Baby can stand while holding onto someone or something.
He can pull himself up to a standing position from a seated one.
Baby walks by holding on to furniture.
He babbles.
Baby plays peekaboo.
He plays patty-cake.
Baby waves good-bye.
He can say "mama" or "dada."

*All babies have their own internal developmental timetable. If your 7-month-old hasn't yet reached these milestones, rest assured that she will in time. If you have concerns about your baby's development, discuss them with her doctor.

Everything was written above, our son does all those things except the waves good-bye. I guess I will look forward for 8th month development. Somehow our kid is always advance.

As your baby cruises through his seventh month, he's more aware of how strong he is -- and how that strength can get him where he wants to go. With strength comes your baby's desire to get moving, and he'll be crawling soon. Caution! Some parents buy baby walkers to help their little ones travel from room to room. Many doctors discourage the use of baby walkers. Too many emergency rooms have seen babies who've fallen down staircases while in a walker; walkers also can tip over or roll onto the fingers or toes of other children at home. Some doctors also believe that too much time in a walker can slow a baby's muscle development.

Sometime between 6 and 7 months, your baby's eyes may change color. Until now, they've appeared blue. The amount of pigment in the eye's iris determines the permanent color, a pigment which may not be fully developed until your baby is closer to a year old. Blue eyes still could turn brown, but brown eyes won't become blue.

Matthew 6:19-21

Taking care of my sisters and brother before, I intentionally make cerelac more than what they need because I really like the taste. I will eat the rest of what they can't finished.Did you try to eat cerelac with the baby? I guess some not.

My son's age can eat cereal now and I'm actually excited to taste the cereal here. Hmmm... It was not the same taste of the cereal I usually like to eat. There's no taste in it. How come cerelac was so yummy? I actually wonder and try to ask nurses why it taste like that. They just told me " food for baby here has no sugar" and they are pure ingrendients..

So I research why? And I found an answer....

Cerelac is a highly nutritious, easily digested instant cereal popular throughout India and the world. Suitable as a complimentary food for infants from 6 months onwards when breast milk or formula alone can no longer meet the baby's growing nutritional requirements. Allergy Notice: This product contains wheat and milk ingredients.

The Cerelac range is intended for spoon feeding only and only one or two meals should be given a day (unless otherwise advised by a doctor or health care professional)depending also on the age of the infant. Consult your doctor if you have any questions.

Ingredients: Whole Maize, Partially Skimmed Milk, Sucrose, Vegetable Oil, Calcium Carbonate, Ferrous Fumarate, Vanillin, Vitamins. Manufactured with Raw Materials that are Naturally Free of Gluten. Cerelac Maize milk-cereal is a highly nutritious and easily digested weaning food for babies from about four months of age.

Separation Anxiety

Being a full time mom was so great! Everyday with my baby I can see all the new developments he shows and do all my recording. When he's already six months I decided to work part time and it's really hard for me to be separated with my baby. I do worry and I miss the time I'm there for him full time. It's not that bad because I just took 5 hours on our time together.

I know babies will be having separation anxiety. Is it really the babies or the momies? Me I do have separation anxiety but I just told myself he will be fine with his uncle. Somehow it helps me to concentrate on my work. I believe our baby will adopt the everyday schedule.

Actually my manager told me she's also like me before with her first baby. She told me babies are fine, dont worry they will just cry for first weeks then they will be fine. Babies knows that their mom will be back. All advices was all positive. I believe next month me and my baby will be adjusted with our time away from eac other.

Global Warming

The first time I heard about global warming was in my highschool life, we are obliged to bring our own tumblers. The store will not sell us soda if we don't have our own tumblers. It's crazy every morning they will check if we don't forget our own tumblers or glass. They say it will help to control the usage of plastics cup that one of the cause of global warming.

What Is Global Warming?

Scientists have concluded that human activities are contributing to global warming by adding large amounts of heat-trapping gases to the atmosphere. Our fossil fuel use is the main source of these gases. Every time we drive a car, use electricity from coal-fired power plants, or heat our homes with oil or natural gas, we release carbon dioxide and other heat-trapping gases into the air. The second most important source of greenhouse gases is deforestation, mainly in the tropics, and other land-use changes.

Since pre-industrial times, the atmospheric concentration of carbon dioxide has increased by 31 percent. Over the same period, atmospheric methane has risen by 151 percent, mostly from agricultural activities like growing rice and raising cattle.

As the concentration of these gases grows, more heat is trapped by the atmosphere and less escapes back into space. This increase in trapped heat changes the climate, causing altered weather patterns that can bring unusually intense precipitation or dry spells and more severe storms.

The Causes of Global Warming

Carbon dioxide (CO2) during the last 400,000 years and the rapid rise since the Industrial Revolution; Changes in the Earth's orbit around the Sun, known as Milankovitch cycles, which are believed to be the pacemaker of the 100,000 year ice age cycle; Recent increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2). The monthly CO2 measurements display small seasonal oscillations in an overall yearly uptrend; each year's maximum is reached during the Northern Hemisphere's late spring, and declines during the Northern Hemisphere growing season as plants remove some CO2 from the atmosphere. The Earth's climate changes in response to external forcing, including variations in its orbit around the sun (orbital forcing),volcanic eruptions, and atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations. The detailed causes of the recent warming remain an active field of research, but the scientific consensus identifies elevated levels of greenhouse gases due to human activity as the main influence. Changes In Greenhouse Gas Concentrations

Is There Anything We Can Do about Global Warming?

Yes! The most important action we can take to slow global warming is to reduce emissions of heat-trapping gases. Governments, individuals, and businesses can all help. Governments can adopt a range of options for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, including increasing energy efficiency standards encouraging the use of renewable energy sources (such as wind and solar power) eliminating subsidies that encourage the use of coal and oil by making them artificially cheap protecting and restoring forests, which serve as important storehouses of carbon Individuals can reduce the need for fossil fuels and often save money by driving less and driving more fuel-efficient and less-polluting cars using energy-efficient appliances insulating homes
using less electricity in general Businesses can increase efficiency and save substantial sums by doing the same things on a larger scale. And utilities can avoid building expensive new power plants by encouraging and helping customers to adopt efficiency measures.

Philippians 4:8

i'll never forget

People always remember what happened when they were kids. I honestly love my younger years and I can't forget all the craziness I've always done. But there was one experienced that really broke my heart.

August 22,1987 my parents, two sisters and me were so happy that day. Finally my mom gave birth with a baby boy. My father was so happy and saving for atleast big Christening celebration. We always happy to play with him. He smiles so nice. He is a gift that we really treasure.

First week of November 1987, I'm the one taking care of our brother and that time he don't stop crying. We are so worried so my mom brought him to the hospital, to know his condition. I'm just 7 yrs old that time so I don't really understand what happened. November 17,1987, when we woke up my brother was home but my mom said he's gone. It really broke my heart. This was the first time I saw my dad cried so much.It really bothered me until I'm in my highschool because I'm the last person who carry him. My mother never explain to me what's happened when I'm young but atleast it was cleard when she told me it's not my fault. It will really happen because she fell and don't know she's pregnant that time and did broke the head.

I know its not nice to think of it. I believe he is with God now and a handsome angel. Today is August 22 that's why I remembered. Already 21 yrs ago but still I can feel the pain. Anyway to all who read this, always remember to take care your precious baby inside the tummy and always show love to all your love ones... Our time is not ours...Tell everybody you love that you love them.

Topiaries

In my highschool days we need to be creative for our Home Economics Subject (HE). You must create things with less expense and if you can make without expenses that's much better. Less expense = higher grade. That was great for me because we are not rich and I can't afford to buy materials. So I usually use "retaso" from my moms' sewing room. I made flowers with the use of clothes. Everytime I can see topiary, it reminds me of my experienced in handycrafts making. I'm so thankful I can create such things and don't give headaches to my parents where to get money for my HE projects.

In the future when I can save money to start the business maybe I will consider handycrafts business. Atleast I can use my skills and enjoy my business. I'm hoping it will come true.

Finally I heard "MAMA"

Our son's first word was "DADA" and I'm really waiting for "MAMA". Sometimes I guess I've heard him saying it but I'm not convince because it was just like crying with a mmmm sound.

Today was my first time away from him and I called home. While talking with my hubby I've heard him saying "mama" that was nice so nice. He finally saying mama and repeatedly when I'm at home. Nice gift after my first day work.

I'm excited to hear other words now. But mothers' advice enjoy the moment they can't asks questions yet because when time comes they know what they want to ask. Mothers will ask them to shut up. Hopefully I can answer all his questions in the future.

First Work In States

Human beings needs to survive here on earth. For us to survive we need money. To have money we need to work. It's not easy to work. Well I admit my first work was so easy. I can even nap on my break. My second job was exciting and challenging. There's a lot of things to be accomplish or else no nice impression to us or no nice bonus.

Yesterday I got a call from the company I applied and start my third job. My first job I'm a clerk in a real estate company. Second I experienced three positions: Account Officer, Internal Control Officer and Accounts Payable Officer. Now I'm working as a Salesclerk. I'm still on cashier training. It looks like an easy job but I'm still nervous to do it. It's my first time, I believe I will be an expert one day like my trainer.

Hurray!!! I got my first job here. I know this will be a challenge to me; not too much on my work but with our son. Today was the first time I'm five hours away from him. I'm really hoping he will be fine with my brother-in-law. My manager actually told me, babies are fine only mothers are worrying. I hope it's like that.

Ephesians 2:8-9

Aura

Yesterday was the second time my brother-in-law saw an aura on me. At first I'm still preggy and ready to give birth. I'm amazed with his skills in seeing aura. But with the second time it made me wonder what does aura means? Why he can see "like reflecting light with purple, blueish, light green colors". With his description of what he can see, made me read about aura.

That time we are talking about Our Savior Jesus Christ and I'm just sharing what's my faith. I really don't know how to convince somebody that has no religion. I just share what I believe and hoping it will open somebody's mind and heart to accept that there's True God.

So I got that picture and somehow answer my questions. The picture explains the colors that I'm using my crown, throat, heart and spiritual plane. Actually an aura in religious art usually connotes a person of particular power or holiness. Hmmmp am I? makes me laugh to think about it. On the other side maybe he sees aura as a result of a visual system disorder. Eye fatigue can also produce an aura. I really don't know which is which. At least when I research I found out two things.

Why Do Women Live Longer Than Men?

This Article was sent to me by my friend and I want to share to all my bloggers friend...

Across the industrialized world, women still live 5 to 10 years longer than men. Among people over 100 years old, 85% are women, according to Tom Perls, founder of the New England Centenarian Study at Boston University and creator of the website LivingTo100.com. Time.com asks him why.

Q: Why do women live longer than men?

A: *One important reason is the big delay — and advantage — women have over men in terms of cardiovascular disease, like heart attack and stroke. Women develop these problems usually in their 70s and 80s, about 10 years later than men, who develop them in their 50s and 60s. For a long time, doctors thought the difference was due to estrogen. But studies have shown that this may not be the case, and now we know that giving estrogen to women post-menopause can actually be bad for them.

One reason for that delay in onset of cardiovascular disease could be that women are relatively iron-deficient compared to men — especially younger women, those in their late teens and early 20s — because of menstruation. Iron plays a very important part in the reactions in our cells that produce damaging free radicals, which glom onto cell membranes and DNA, and may translate into aging the cell. In fact, in our diets, red meat is the main source of iron, and lack of iron is probably one major reason that being vegetarian is healthy for you. There was a very good study looking at the intake of red meat and heart disease in Leiden in the Netherlands: in regions where people didn't eat red meat, those populations had half the rate of heart attack and stroke compared to the populations that did eat red meat.

*Another more complicated possibility [for women's longevity] is that women have two X chromosomes, while men have one. (Men have an X and a Y.) When cells go through aging and damage, they have a choice in terms of genes — either on one X chromosome or the other. Consider it this way: you have a population of cells, all aging together. In some cells, the genes on one X chromosome are active; in other cells, by chance, the same set of genes, with different variations, are active on the other X chromosome. Don't forget, we all have the same genes — the reason we differ is because we express different variations of those genes, like different colors of a car. Now, if one set of variations provides a survival advantage for the cells versus another, then the cells with the advantage will persist while the other ones will die off, leaving behind more cells with the genes on the more advantageous X chromosome. So, in women, cells can perhaps be protected by a slightly better variation of a gene on the second X chromosome. Men don't have this luxury and don't get this choice.

It's very unclear [how big an effect that could have]. I've seen men who have done horrendous damage to themselves over time with smoking and drinking and who still get to 100 and older — though that's very, very rare. They might have the right combination of some really special genetic variations that we call "longevity enabling genes" — which we're on the mad hunt for. Meanwhile other individuals may do everything right and only make it into their 80s. That may be because they have what we call "disease genes," some genetic variations that are relatively bad for them. Now some of these [disease genes] may be on the X chromosome, [meaning that women who have the second X chromosome with which to compensate, would have an advantage]. But it's really still a very complicated puzzle to tease out.

*[There are a few other reasons that men die earlier in life more often than women.] Men in their late teens and 20s go through something called "testosterone storm." The levels of the hormone can be quite high and changeable, and that can induce some pretty dangerous behavior among young men. They don't wear their seatbelts; they drink too much alcohol; they can be aggressive with weapons and so on and so forth. These behaviors lead to a higher death rate.

Another area where we see higher death rates among men is among the depressed — especially older men. If they attempt suicide, they are more likely to succeed than women.

Overall, about 70% of the variation around average life expectancy — [just over 80 for women and just over 75 for men in the U.S.] — is probably attributable to environmental factors — your behaviors and your exposures. Probably only 30% is due to genetics. And that's very, very good news. There's so much we can do. Most of us should be able to get into our late 80s. What's more, to get to older ages, like the centenarians, you are necessarily compressing the time you're sick to the end of your life. It's not a case where the older you get, the sicker you get. It's very much the case that the older you get, the healthier you've been.

*But, in general, there are maybe three things men do worse than women. They smoke a lot more. (That gender gap is fortunately shrinking, since men are smoking less and less.) They eat more food that leads to high cholesterol. And, perhaps related to that, men tend not to deal with their stress as well as women. They may be more prone to internalizing that stress rather than letting go — though that's a fairly controversial point. Nonetheless, stress plays a very important role in cardiovascular disease

My Computer

I'm an outgoing type of person. It's a part of my life to go out. My papa always told me to stay at home but of course I don't listen. I love to go anywhere, always with my friends house or hang out on different beaches, we eat ballot and chicharon.

I miss those days. My life is completely change. Of course when you're married it will change. I'm a home buddy now. I just go out to get the mail then back inside. My time looks like shorter than before.

Since I stayed at home most of my days, I spend my free time with my computer, where i can talk to my family and friends. Thanks a lot we have this internet now and we can talk to anybody we want around the world.

Word of God

Einstein Octoplush

Be the first to take hold of the Einstein Octoplush baby-toy for the love, comfort and companionship of your kids. What is this baby toy all about? This is a flexible, all-ranged and beautiful model. It is quite soft for an easy hug for even the youngest baby. The Einstein Octoplush baby-toy is well sewn and contains a Baby Einstein melody for the listening pleasure of your baby. Its fine and colorful features permit the baby to travel round the surface for a feeling of warmth.

The Einstein Octoplush baby-toy is just more than a play thing. It is rich in brightly sewn pieces of cloth to explore or arouse the baby’s inquisitiveness into colors, jump into discovery successfully as the eyes of any baby will do. Simply press each patch of color you want to and you will take note of the echo of the various names of colors. What a wonderful way to begin an early education of your child. These colors can be repeated in a variety of language such as English, Spanish and French. These are all managed by a language selector button to choose your language of preference.

The Einstein Octoplush baby-toy is very light and convenient to be carried around by your baby. It has a proportion of seven inches of width to eleven inches in length. It weighs nothing more than sixteen ounces. It has been highly fashioned by the manufacturer with consideration of all feasible safety measure.

Our son likes this toy so much. Even me and my hubby enjoy listening to the music and I love to imitate how the voice talk. I'm also amazed with the Spanish and French colors. It's not only for our son, we are also learning.

Tarsier

I was so excited to see and touch this tarsier. When we're finally with them the owner told us not to touch them...they are only for eyes... I felt bad that time and hoping I can touch them. Blessing in disguise my camera needed new film so I stayed for a while to change new film. And when all of my officemate was gone the owner told me to hold the tarsier and take picture with it. I'm so happy the owner change his mind and let me have this nice experience. Feel the cold feet of this tarsier.

Panglao Island

My first work was great and never give me headache. Honestly on our break time I can sleep my desk.(I know I can never do that here in states) Well anyway I'll share how lucky we are because we experienced having vacation that was paid by our boss.

First we visit chocolate hills and have a contest who will touch the bell first and all of us ran to bang the bell. That was fun but must burn a lot of calories to go up the stairs. Then we visit the smallest monkey " Tarsier". Big eyes and kinda like me when they stare. Next we went to Panglao Island at Panglao Island Nature Resort.. The first time I wore two piece, the place just asking you to do so... eventhough I don't give justice to the beautiful view. I assure anyone who plans to visit Bohol that Panglao is one of the best resort to visit.

Panglao is an island in the Philippines located in the Central Visayas. Politically, it is divided into two municipalities: Dauis and Panglao, both of Bohol Province. Panglao is located southwest of the island of Bohol and east of Cebu.

Farting and Burping

Air from our tummy that we always want to come out. There are some cultures they prefer farting than burping. Other way around they accepts burping than farting in public. Which you think you prefer best?

With my husband it is ok if we did fart or burp. I'm ashame if my farting smell but mostly it doesn't smell and no sound that's why sometimes I just fart in public. But burping in public sometimes I can't make it because some people may say no manners. Honestly I prefer both. I don't care if somebody fart or burp. Maybe they really need to do it to help them feel ok. All of us know if we fart and burp we will fine and no pain on our tummy. So I do consider if someone did it in public.

When our baby was born. I really appreciate farting and burping. After feeding the baby, it is a must to make them burp or fart. Make sure there is no gas in their tummy or else mommy and daddy can't sleep. Babies will cry and feel bad with the gas that can't come out. They really need to do it. With our son I'm so happy he did a lot of farting and burping. I know it is gross but we need to do it. So don't be shy or else you will be hurt.

What is Flatulence?

Flatulence is the presence of a mixture of gases in the digestive tract of mammals that are byproducts of the digestion process. Such a mixture of gases is known as flatus, and is expelled from the rectum in a process also known as flatulence, commonly referred to as farting.

More Ideas: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flatulence

What is burping?
Belching, also known as burping, ructus, or eructation, involves the release of gas from the digestive tract (mainly esophagus and stomach) through the mouth. It is usually accompanied with a typical sound and, at times, an odor.

Past, Present or Future?

You Live in the Present
You take things one day at a time.
And it turns out, that's a pretty great way to live.

You aren't consumed by the past, and you're aren't obsessed with the future.
You live in the now, and you enjoy each moment.

While most people don't live in the present enough, make sure you don't live in it too much.
It would be a mistake to forget your past or neglect to plan for the future.
Do You Live in the Past, Present, or Future?

I'm just curious to know if I live on my past, present or future? Somehow I like the result that I'm living of what I must live for the day. I really don't dwelt on what happened on my past and I'm not too ambitious about my future. Anyway just try it if you want to knw yours....God bless Us all

How did you know

I remember so well
The day that you came into my life
You asked for my name
You had the most beautiful smile

My life started to change
I'd wake up each day feeling alright
With you right by my side
Makes me feel things will work out just fine

CHORUS
How did you know
I needed someone like you in my life
That there was an empty space in my heart
You came at the right time in my life

I'll never forget
How you brought the sun to shine in my life
And took all the worries and fears that I had
I guess what I'm really trying to say
It's not everyday that someone like you comes my way
No words can express how much I love you

Repeat Chorus

This song always touched my heart. A song for my hubby. He came into my life when I needed him most. An answer to my prayers. I'm so thankful he picked me among different flowers in the world.

What Kind of Shoe Are You?

You Are Flip Flops

You are laid back and very friendly.
Cheery and sunny in disposition, you usually have something to smile about.

Style is important to you, as long as you can stay casual.
It takes a lot to get you to dress up!

You are a loyal and true person, though you can be a bit of a flake.
You tend to "play hooky" and blow off responsibilities a lot more than most people.

You should live: By the beach

You should work: At a casual up and coming company
What Kind of Shoe Are You?

Got this from HAZEL . Now I know what type of shoe I am. I guess some are true, some are not. I really leave it to my friends in terms of knowing who really I am. I asked my hubby to answer the questions and he the result "You Are Clogs"... like hazel.

You Are Clogs
You are a solid and down to earth person.
You seek – and almost always achieve – a really sound balance in your life.

You are stylish yet comfortable. Mellow but driven. Excited yet calm.
You are the perfect mesh of contradictions.

No matter what happens, you have the ability to stay well grounded in your life.
People know that they can truly depend on you.

You should live: In Europe

You should work: At a company dedicated to helping the world
What Kind of Shoe Are You?

Peace

Back Home

Finally we're back. I miss my blogging, no free wifi in the hotel we stayed. I checked but they have the hotel wireless and of course you need to pay. I'm a typical Ilokano so I just wait till we get home. I dont want to pay for one use or two nights.

Road trip was not that exhausted as before because this time we use our van and more space for us. I can lay down. Well anyway thats it just happy to tell I'm home and I can visit my friends and do blogging.
