First Word?
Cup Cake
Happy to see these perfectly shape cup cakes. This is actually my first time to do this and I'm just so proud I estimated each one just right. Actually I burned my wrist when I made these cup cakes. Anyway it's worth I guess... I made this for my parents-in-law when they visit us. It's yummy and if you want to try make like this, just be confident and have fun doing it. By the way that's not from scratch. We both the ready to mix one. To make it easy for me and not to much trouble.
Mass Effect
In addition to plans for two sequels to complete a trilogy, BioWare plans to release episodic content via Xbox Live to fill in the story between each game, though these episodes are not essential for understanding the main plot line.[12] The first of these downloadable content packages was released on March 10, 2008 for the Xbox 360, and July 29, 2008 for the PC.
Greetings for all Co-Bloggers!!!

Is RICE important?
COURVOISIER
What attracts me first? The shape of the bottle. Then curious of what's the taste of that cognac. Honestly made me think of how will I pronounce the name "COURVOISIER". Before asking my husband how to say it, I tried but I failed. He corrected me and informed me it's a French word.I'm glad they taught me the idea of how to read French words. Like that courvoisier cognac it's pronounce like this: kūr-vwah-zē-ā′
Courvoisier is a brand of cognac. The company is now based in the town of Jarnac in the Charente department. Although no evidence exists that Courvoisier cognac was the favorite drink of Napoleon Bonaparte, who died in 1821, before Courvoisier was officially established by Felix Courvoisier in 1835, the company website claims the following:
The origin of our history goes back to the beginning of the 19th century with Emmanuel Courvoisier and his associate, Louis Gallois, running a wine and spirit merchant company, in the Parisian suburb of Bercy. In 1811 Napoleon visited their warehouses in Bercy and he was hosted by Louis Gallois, the Mayor, and Emmanuel Courvoisier. Legend has it that Napoleon I later took several barrels of cognac with him to St Helena, a treat much appreciated by the English officers on the ship who named it 'The Cognac of Napoleon'

ARATILES
I miss Aratiles so much. I grew up eating this sweet wild cherry every afternoon. I cherish every piece I got from the tree. Climb with plastics for ice so I can keep them while I hang like a monkey on the tree. And if I'll forgot to bring plastic with me, I'll eat them so fast. It will really made me full. I guess that's the reason why I don't ask my mom to buy snack for me.
By the way what's Aratiles? Muntingia calabura Linn is the scientific name. It's one of the Philippine Medicinal Plants. A fast growing tree to a height of 5-10 meters, with spreading branches. Leaves are hairy, sticky, alternate, distichous, oblong-ovate to broadly oblong-lanceolate, 8 to 12 cm long, with toothed margins, pointed apex and inequilateral base, one side rounded and the other acute. Flowers are 2 cm in diameter, white, extra-axillary, solitary or in pairs. Sepals are 5, green, reflexed, lanceolate, about 1 cm long. Petals are white, obovate, i cm long and spreading. The berry fruitis rounded, about 1.5 cm diameter, red on ripening, smooth, fleshy, sweet and many seeded.
In Mexico, the fruits are eaten and sold in markets. The fruits can be processed into jams and the leaves can be used for making tea. In Brazil, the trees are planted along river banks. The fruits falling from the tree attract fish that are then caught. In the Philippines the fruits are usually eaten mostly by children although it is not sold in markets.
In traditional medicine, its flowers can be used as an antiseptic and treat abdominal cramps.
The timber from the Jamaican cherry is reddish-brown. It is compact, durable and lightweight and can be used for carpentry. It could also be used as firewood. The bark can be used to produce ropes. Due to its ability to grow in poor soil and its effective propagation by means of bats and birds, it could be used for reforestation projects.
In India, it is used in urban gardens for its ability to grow fast and attractiveness to small fruit eating birds such as the flowerpeckers. It is also commonly planted in parking lots.
I'm so thankful its free in our country, we will just climb to our neighbors' tree. When I'm on my high school days I plant my own tree so no one will tell me not to climb on their tree. I remember my first boyfriends' visit, I'm actually on the tree. I made a little place where I can lay down at night to look at the stars. Just made me happy to reminisced my experiences with my Aratiles tree.

Benefits of Vitamin E
Sun Protection and Sun Burn Treatment
Treatment of Skin Diseases
Treatment of Scars
Skin Cancer
Why is vitamin e important for good health?
There are several benefits of vitamin e for your body. Some preliminary studies involving intakes of vitamin e higher than the daily-recommended requirement have shown that vitamin e may be useful in treating or possibly preventing:
menstrual pain
low sperm count
inflammation of eye tissues
cataracts
restless leg syndrome or relief from muscle cramping
Alzheimer’s disease
Parkinson’s disease
rheumatoid arthritis
asthma
various diabetes related complications and maybe helpful in treating and preventing diabetes itself
cardiovascular disease
prostate cancer and breast cancer
Benefits of vitamin e also include helping the body increase and regulate the levels of vitamin a in the body and as a general immune system booster, especially in older adults. Topical vitamin e might also promote good blood circulation and prevent the formation of blood clots, especially in people with diabetes.
The problem is that although it is agreed that vitamin e is a very useful and essential vitamin for humans (especially for its antioxidant activity), many of the stated benefits of vitamin e are anecdotal. There are few in depth studies available to verify some of the benefits of vitamin e claims that are being made. However, there are numerous informal reports of individuals insisting significant health benefits with increased levels of vitamin e. Further scientific study will help to target specifically whether vitamin e truly does play a role in treating or preventing the conditions mentioned above.

Dungeon Crab for Dinner
Last night we went to our friends' house. They invited us for dinner. That was a great dinner because they prepared dungeon crab thai recipe.
First he killed the live crab then steam them. Chopped Ginger,Onion Strings and Onion. Saute' all ingredients with chilli oil them add the steamed crab then add oyster sauce. Simple mixing and it was so yummy. We ate for almost one hour. I can't just stop eating eventhough it was so spicy.
Our friend packed some of the crab for us to bring home. That was so kind! I'm so happy to have the same meal for today. I love crabs.

Shopping List
Last night at 8pm we went to Walmart, just to buy my partners' work shoes. We ended buying food for our baby even we still have more stock at home. We also got kisses because it was a nice deal. Some gatorade, protein bars and other food my hubby picked even though its not that important. We also buy potty training seat for our son, so young to have but we just bought it. With all those non-essential things we picked, I'm still happy I do control myself somehow because even though hubby told me to pick new shoes for me, I never did it because I don't need it for now. At least help to lessen the expenses for that night.
So next time, I will be strict and tell him to be wise inside shopping stores. Because sometimes when you are there inside you can't control yourself but to pick what you want not only what you really need. Self- discipline is really needed and I guess shopping list can help to remind us not to go beyond the budget.
Internet threats
While we surf we really want fast server and of course we want our computer to be protected from internet threats. How sure are we that our computer will not crash? Here in states if your computer crash, sorry you really need to buy new one because it's so expensive to hire technician to fix it. Not like in our country, our friends can just fix it and not that expensive.
This day was a threat because when I visited one blog, it did pop more than 30x and still don't stop so my quick next step was to off the computer. I'm so scared of viruses because last year we just throw our computer because it crashed. Hoping it will not happen again to this computer.
That's why until now (3am) I'm still awake I'm downloading additional anti-virus.... What? gosh it says our vista was not updated. I really don't know how to do this things.... I'm tired now..I guess i will just ask my hubby about it tomorrow. Take care of your computer. Enjoy blogging.

Footprints in the sand
An amazing poem that always encourages me in times I have problems... This is so true in my life bacause God never leaves me. God is everywhere!!! God loves us all.
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed He was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from His life. For each scene He noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One belonging to Him and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of His life flashed before Him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of His life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of His life.
This really bothered Him and He questioned the LORD about it. LORD you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.
The LORD replied, my precious, precious child, I Love you and I would never leave you! During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.
ARWANA
My husband ask me " you have idea about the fish?". I remember that fish is expensive to take care. My uncle use to buy little fish just for one day eating. For me it's just like you love to kill other fish just to satisfy your pet. Not nice to see. And also my uncle use to catch lizard to give it to his pet. They say its a lucky fish. So to know more i did read online about it and just wanna share it.
The Asian Arowana (Scleropages formosus), are a bony-tongued fish that are closer to prehistoric times then many other fish. Like other Arowana the Asian Arowana can become fairly large, upwards to 36 inches. They are also called Dragon Fish, and Asian Bonytongue.
The Asian Arowana originate as the name suggest in Asia. They are found in Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. The Asian Arowana are an endangered species, and hard to come by as the trade is regulated. If you decide to acquiring one you should make sure that you follow all laws involved, to help protect this species. Like other Arowana can become large. They may become upwards of 35” long (90cm). It is important to remember this when buying one and choosing an aquarium for an Asian Arowana since even if the specimen you buy might be only one feet long (30cm) when you buy it, it grows fast and will require a large aquarium in a short amount of time.
Asian Arowana are as earlier mentioned also called Dragon Fish in the orient, not so much cause they look like dragons even if this is an aspect of it but rather because they feel it is an incarnation of the dragon itself. It is believed they bring good luck, deters evil, and keeps the family together, while bringing happiness and health.
They actually come in a few different variants, and some believe each may be distinct sub species. Asian Arowana variants include Cross Back Golden, Super Red, Red Tail, Golden, and Green Arowana.
The Cross Back Golden Asian Arowana originates in West Malaysia. These are in the highest demand, as it is believed they bring extra good fortune. Cross Back Golden Asian Arowana have been called Pahang Gold, Malayan Bonytongue, Bukit Merah Blue, Taiping Golden and the Malaysian Gold. They are quite rare and the demand is always high which brings the prices of these fish up to high levels. Cross-Back fins can be found in other color forms to like Purples, Blues, Red, varying Gold, Green, and Silver.
The Super Red Asian Arowana originated in Indonesia (Western Kalimantan Province). They can mainly be found in the waters of Lake Sentarum and the River Kapuas, and are one of the most popular Asian Arowana due to their beautiful red colors. Super Red Asian Arowana is much more common than the Cross Back Golden Asian Arowana. There are 4 varieties of red Arowana, Blood Red, Orange Red, Chili Red, and Golden Red Arowana. The red color is first visible in the fins in young specimens and gradually moves onto their entire body as they mature.
The Red Tail Golden Asian Arowana is found in Indonesia (Pekan Baru). They are more common and more affordable than Cross-Back Gold Asian Arowana since they are more abundant in the wild, as well as the fact that they are not as “Gold” as the Cross-Back Golden Asian Arowana. They are also a little more aggressive Cross-Back Golden Arowana which they otherwise have many of the same traits as.
The Green Tail Asian Arowana is usually found in Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, Indonesia, and Cambodia. Due to the large coverage, there can be a lot more difference in these than in other Asian Arowana. Most are grayish green, and have a head that is larger and rounder then other varieties. These are one of the cheapest forms of all Asian Arowana.
Keeping Asian Arowana can be enjoyable, though remember, they need big tanks by the time they grow up.
As with any fish, keeping the tank in a location where they are safe from being bumped into, or stirred up unnecessarily, is wise. You need to keep the top covered and held down as well, since they are excellent jumpers and otherwise may wind up outside the tank. 55 gallon might be sufficient for juveniles, though 150 gallon+ would be advisable as they mature and grow larger. Remember, moving the tank is not going to be easy at all, so better planning now will save a lot of time later and spare the Asian Arowana a shocking experience
Asian Arowana prefers to live in water with a temperature of about 75 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit (24-30 C). The pH level is best kept between 7.0 and 7.5. It is recommendable to use several water heaters to make sure that there is a backup if one fails since they can be sensitive to lower temperatures.
Lighting plays a larger role when keeping an Asian Arowana than it does with many other fish. Good lighting is required to get your fish to develop good coloration and sunlight is beneficial to this end. You should however never place the aquarium in direct sunlight since the fish are sensitive to rapid changes in the temperature. To much sunlight can also cause sever algae problems. The lighting in an aquarium dedicated to keeping Arowana fish should preferable increase and degrees the light levels slowly since the fish otherwise might become very stressed and injure themselves against the decoration, aquarium glass etc.
Effective Biological, Chemical, and Mechanical filtration should be deemed necessary when keeping Asian Arowana. They are carnivores will create a lot of waste material with put a large stress on the filters. One suggested means of filtration would be a Bio-Wheel type system. Bio-Wheel type systems not only helps clean the aquarium but also help oxygenate the water to a small degree, which is especially good when keeping larger fish. Combined with a good carbon element, this and good gravel at the bottom of the tank should help keep the Ammonia, Ammonium, and Nitrites down. It is necessary to change out about 25% of the tank’s water each week.
Asian Arowana is not too picky when it comes to food and there is a lot they will eat. Young should be fed a mix of Live and Frozen Brine Shrimp, black worms, and small fish. As they get older, Frogs, Fish, and Shrimp makes good food. There are many other food sources that can be used to feed your fish and a quick search on the internet should give you a lot of tips of other food sources. Often if your water quality is bad, or your Asian Arowana is sick, it may not be eating. It is therefore wise to monitor your fish for quietness, loss of aggressiveness, or change in patterns of their daily routine and take step to remedy the a problem if one is discovered.

High IQ level
It's a Masterpiece!!!
Last Saturday my hubby told me "Dark Knight is out in the theaters ". I can really tell he wants to watch the movie, being a batman fan since he was a kid. I don't want to ruin his excitement , that's why I told him to go watch without me... because I know we can't bring our son in movie theater.
Yesterday my husband asked me "are you sure you want me to go without you?". He says just leave the baby to his brother. Instead of saying yes, because I want to watch too, I just say "watch with your brother so he will be happy". I want them to atleast do the same movie watching like what they do before me and our son.
After watching "The DARK KNIGHT (2008)", they just bought my favorite soup. At least they made me happy too. My husand told me the movie was great! They told me their experience while watching it, excitement in almost every scene. Very realistic special effects. Eventhough the movie has a PG13 rating, still very entertaining for adults. I'ts so excellent! Worth the money paid for the movie. His brother was also sharing his feeling while watching. He felt like his like eight years old watching the movie because the movie really amazed him. The best film he watch so far this year.
With what they told me, I'm looking forward to watch it. The tv screen is not that big but I will be contented to watch with our son. I'll wait till it will be available for renting. So to all who didn't watch it yet, do yourselves a favor to see this piece of art.

Toilet Training
After talking to them at 9:50 in the morning, DJ acted like he wants to poop. I'm thinking of putting him on toilet and do it there. Eventhough I'm not sure if he response or not at least I've tried. So I took his diaper, put him on the toilet though i know its early for potty training. But after a minute or two, he started to do it until he finished. Wow! I save diaper today. I don't need to clean more poop on his butt. Just wipe and wash it with soap. I'ts a nice record for a baby at 25th week. Did poop at toilet bowl. I'm so excited and told my husband about it. At first he thought I'm joking because he's too young for it. So I showed him the pictures while his doing it. I even took gross picture just to prove.
To convinced myself that he did it yesterday, today I tried it again and did really works. I'm so glad my baby is so smart to response on things mommy tries. Made it so advance that supposed to be 18 to 24 months of age.
July 18 Prediction
I decide to call at least to inform them what i read. My mom just told me " Let it be if its God's plan, nothing we can do, thats the way he will correct wrong doings on earth." That's my mom. She never worries of anything. But still I insisted just be prepare. And other action I did is to tell all my friends about it and tell them to take care.
July 18 is past and nothing happen. No 8.1 earthquake in the Philippines. God is so good and that prediction is not true. Only God knows. So whoever predicts it, better stop it because its not working. Don't predict anymore. Human will never know what will happen next.
Great TRANSITION
In my case, I studied nursing and target to work in Saudi Arabia because i know it's not easy to go to United States. A lot of trainings, examinations to pass first and visa processing. So i never dreamt of going here. But with God's gift to me. I'm here and I'm so thankful for giving new direction of my life. With God nothing is impossible.
What I want in States? No"Chismoso or Chismosa". People mind their own business. No worries of what other peolpe may say about your looks, skin color, the clothes you wear and your grammar. They really don't care. Sad to say only in our country, a lot of people disturbs other lives. They don't care what will be the effect on the family. The crab mentality is always there. Instead of helping they are the one distroy the person. Creating stories to ruin ones life, the psychological effect on the person. This issue really made me mad. Anyway I know at the end God will punish for people like them.
There's really great transition on my case because i should learn their culture, understand their different way of thinking and their personality. Know the rules and regulations of their country. Transition from single life to married life. While i'm still trying to know about the country and adopt the different weather, I got pregnant! So another challenges in life. This is so much for me but I'm trying to survive. Now, moving forward as a mom and should know how to deal with parenting.

Started with KISSES
Chocolate usually just stay overnight or next day or if its a lot we say one week is the most and stock is gone. Every night I'm used to eat chocolates with milk so from then on if only one left for this night i will feel sad. My husband is so sensitive and he notice that i really like chocolates. So from then on he always make sure theres chocolate stocks. Of course I'm happy for that.
Eating chocolate at night always makes me happy. With the chocolate stocks, I've found out that my husband is a chocolate eater too. He loves to buy dark chocolates. Before i dont enjoy the taste because to too much chocolate like I'm eating cocoa. Now im used to eat dark chocolates and always craving to eat after dinner. Oh my it all started with the kisses and now i can't stop it.
TEMPORARY TATTOO
I share this to my partner and asked him what will be his reaction if the doctor does this to me. He right away tell me, he will punch the doctor on his face and of course sue him. He must learn how to respect his patients. Well I like my husbands' reaction. How about you? Are you ganna do the same?
A SIMPLE ADVICE
That time i was broken hearted. I can't really find an answer why he cheated on me. I'm drunk in school. That is the reason why i can't stop crying. The effect of alcohol on me. But when I heard her telling me that advice, she made me smile somehow. Start to relax from being crazy and comfort myself by telling "It's ok time will come i will be happy and he will really regret want he did to me." There's karma anyway! Cheaters never win! Well anyway cheating twice is not healthy anymore in a relationship. Yup five years in a relationship with somebody was not a joke. That's why Im also thinking it will be a waste if ill let go. But no more trust anymore so just let go and move on. Put in my mind that there will be someone for me that will love me and will be true to me.
That simple advice was so true. I've got another fish not only in Philippine Sea but in Pacific Ocean. They say my new boyfriend, who is my husband, he is a big fish not only "galunggong". I was so blessed God answered my prayers. I asked Him to give me the right person to love. Someone who will love me so much, true to me and will never make me cry. God didn't only grant what I asked. He also gave me bonuses because my husband is so handsome and so good to me. He is such a dream came true. I love him so much.

THANKS MEDICAID
With all the problems in delivery room, we are happy I delivered him normal vaginal delivery. But after 5 minutes of joy another problem occurred. Our son was transfered immediately to the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). I felt bad because our ideal plan did not work out. My husband suppose to cut the cord and I'll kiss the baby when he comes out. I'm disappointed we never experienced what we want.We stayed at NICU for about one week. Made me so emotional when we go home without our baby.We are so stressed out of the situation and thinking of the possible total of our bills. Month after giving birth, bills starts to pop up like mushrooms on our mail box. Even though we will only pay 10% of the total bills still it's so much! So crazy because our total bill amounting to $35,000. How I wish i gave birth in the Philippines because giving birth is not that expensive.
My husband deals with the bills because I still cant contribute yet. He tries to pay it little by little until we will be fully paid. One day somebody called me and asked me if i want to apply for medical assistance. I said sure! Why not? There's no harm in trying right? At least if approve we will not going to pay anymore bills. A great help to my husband. I'm so thankful to Zuzette of DSHS of Kent City for calling us. She told me she got my number from Akundi the nurse who visit us every two weeks to check our son. There are still people who really wanna help and doing their job. So we process our papers with Zuzettes' help and really hope for approval.
After one month, thank God we are qualified. I'm so grateful God sent them to help us on our problem. Such a great blessings. So to share my blessings, I pass my experienced to one of my friend who is pregnant right now. I advice her to apply. She did it and they are also approved. God is so good to all who ask Him. Thanks also to federal and state taxes for supporting the medicaid program.

I MISS PHILIPPINES
It's different to live away from your parents. They are not here to help. Especially with a baby, you will think and hope that you are with them. Thanks to my friends, they are always ready to talk and chat with me. With them, I was able to adjust little by little how to handle my emotions. My technique is to call anyone of my friends just to stop the feeling of being homesick. Thanks God He created friends, a true friends that is always ready to alleviate the feelings.
