Call from the future!!!

Did you experienced a call from the future? It's really strange to received misscalls from the future. Not only once but twice! The first misscall was dated May 2, 2009 and its call time is 7:45 PM. The second misscall I received was dated May 2, 2009 and time was 6:30 PM. The number that calls me was my husband's office phone. Actually the date was my Mama's birthday. Do you have any idea what the calls means. I'm just curious to know. Hoping somebody can tell me the meaning of this call from the future.

2. 2 (Each member of the family should know how to get safely outside by at least 2 routes.)

3. Drop on hands and knees and crawl to the nearest exit.

4. Go the meeting place that you and your family have planned. (Establish a safe meeting place away from the house. It prevents family members from searching for one another or re-entering the building.)

5. Study exits before a fire strikes. (Explore the building beforehand so that every exit is familiar. If a hallway becomes smoke-filled, memory can help in finding the exits.)

Fire Safety Tips For Your Home

Every household needs a smoke detector outside of each sleeping area and also on every level of the house, including the basement. Test smoke detectors once a month -- always keep new batteries on hand and replace them once a year, even if it isn't necessary. Teach your children about smoke detectors. Let them help test the detectors, so they recognize the alarm. Follow up by practicing your escape route.

Teach children that if they find matches, they should tell an adult the location right away.

Make sure a household member is trained to use the fire extinguisher -- the ideal place for the extinguisher is in the kitchen.

Draw a simple picture of your home. Plan at least two escape routes from your home and two ways to get out of every room. Decide who will take charge of each child. Show children who live in high-rise buildings the shortest route to a safe exit. Warn them not to use the elevator.

Pick a safe place outside to meet family members after escaping from a fire -- remember, get out and call 911 -- do not try to put out the fire yourself and do not go back inside for any reason. Conduct a home fire drill at least twice a year, and do it at night, when most deadly fires occur.

Do you have a number on the front of your house? Can the number be seen easily from the street during the day and night? This is very important in case the driver of a fire truck or ambulance needs to find your house quickly. House numbers can be purchased at a low cost from a hardware store.

Real fires are FAST. In a few minutes your whole house could be on fire. Temperatures can be more than 600 degrees. You may not be able to breathe or see anything.

Each year, fires and burns kill hundreds of children and permanently scar thousands, yet more fire victims die from the smoke than flames. Smoke can overwhelm a child or adult in minutes.

Get out fast; seconds count. Phone for help from a neighbor's home, not from inside a burning building. Cover your mouth and nose. Crawl low under the smoke to the nearest exit.

Test the door before opening it. If it's hot or there's smoke, use another way out.

Once out, stay out. There's nothing more important in your home than you. If someone is missing, tell a firefighter immediately. Gather at your designated meeting place, and NEVER go back into a burning building.

If your clothing catches on fire, STOP. Running fans the flames, making fire burn faster. Shout for help. Don't run for help. Drop to the floor and cover your face. Roll back and forth to put out flames. Cool a burn with cool water.

Crab Mentality

The term “crab mentality” is used to describe a kind of selfish, short-sighted thinking which runs along the lines of “if I can't have it, neither can you.” This term is especially widely used among Filipinos, who use it specifically to refer to people who pull other people down, denigrating them rather than letting them get ahead or pursue their dreams. As a general rule, an accusation of having a crab mentality is a poor reflection on someone's personality.

This concept references an interesting phenomenon which occurs in buckets of crabs. If one crab attempts to escape from a bucket of live crabs, the other crabs will pull it back down, rather than allowing it to get free. Sometimes, the crabs seem almost malicious, waiting until the crab has almost escaped before yanking it back into the pot. All of the crabs are undoubtedly aware of the fact that their fate is probably not going to be very pleasurable, so people are led to wonder why they pull each other back into the bucket, instead of congratulating the clever escape artist.

This term is broadly associated with short-sighted, non-constructive thinking rather than a unified, long-term, constructive mentality. It is also often used colloquially in reference to individuals or communities attempting to "escape" a so-called "underprivileged life", but kept from doing so by those others of the same community or nation attempting to ride upon their coat-tails or who simply resent their success.

For Filipinos, crab mentality is the tendency to "outdo another at the other's expense"or to "pull down those who strive to be better."An overzealous leader becomes morally shamed. It "became a call for community leaders to acknowledge indebtedness to others and to work for the good of the entire community and not just for themselves."
Sad to say other people doesn't think of the challenges of that person experiences to have that success. They just think of their selfish reason. Just a little advice: learning to recognize the crab mentality in others is a very good idea. Early as posibble learn to be aware of that attitude especially if you work or live in a highly competitive environment.

Discipline: Yes and No

When you say "yes"... to your child as often as possible and "no" only when necessary, you:

1. automatically make it easy for your child to behave and difficult to misbehave.
2. allow your child to experience freedom to succeed
3. limit your "noes" and "don'ts" so that when you need them, they will mean something
4. discount all the small mistakes that are so exhausting to discipline
5. give your child freedom to be a child with reasonable limits
6. boost your child's self-esteem

Tip: Instead of saying "No, you can't have a cookie now," say "Yes, you can have a cookie after dinner." Your child will get the idea that many more things are possible than impossible.
"You can do this and this and this," not "You can't do that."

We likes Phở

Four days after givng birth last January 24,2008, me and my husband went to a Phở Restaurant and he ordered Phở with fishballs. The first time I taste it I never like it because I'm not in the mood to eat while our baby was still in NICU.

Three months after I tried again the Vietnamese noodle soup, wow it drives me crazy. It's so yummy and until now we always order everyweek. Even our son really likes the taste of the soup.

What's the good news? It's helping me increase my milk production. We really wonder what is in that soup that made me feel full and our son sleep for 5 hours after drinking my milk. I wish we have more money to buy it everyday. I guess maybe because its soup that's why more production. I remember in our country we use malunggay leaves in a soup to help in milk production. Maybe that Vietnamese soup have like malunggay in there soup.

Guidelines For Parent Child Relationships

Try to set a side time on a regular basis to do something fun with your child.

Never disagree about discipline in front of the children.

Never give an order, request, or command without being able to enforce it at the time.

Be consistent, that is, reward or punish the same behavior in the same manner as much as possible.

Agree on what behavior is desirable and not desirable.

Agree on how to respond to undesirable behavior.

Make it as clear as possible what the child is to expect if he or she performs the undesirable behavior.

Make it very clear what the undesirable behavior is. It is not enough to say, "Your room is messy." Messy should be specified in terms of exactly what is meant: "You’ve left dirty clothes on the floor, dirty plates on your desk, and your bed is not made."

Once you have stated your position and the child attacks that position, do not keep defending yourself. Just restate the position once more and then stop responding to the attacks.

Look for gradual changes in behavior. Don’t expect too much. Praise behavior that is coming closer to the desired goal.

Remember that your behavior serves as a model for your children’s behavior.

If one of you is disciplining a child and the other enters the room, that other person should not step in on the argument in progress.

Reward desirable behavior as much as possible by verbal praise, touch or something tangible such as a toy, food or money.

Both of you should have an equal share in the responsibility of discipline as much as possible.

I million bill

Front of tract

Back of tract

Yesterday I ask my partner at work if he already saw a one thousand dollar bill. Well both of us didn't see yet. Today when I came to work He told me that the other sorter/classifier found a 1 million dollar bill. They really convinced me to believe their joke. I know for sure there is no such real 1 million bill. So I took it as a joke. But when I got home, i really have doubt if its true or not because my partner told me "mamatay pa ako". So it made me research maybe there is a bill but not really for transaction but just for fun.

Well after my research I found it! It's amazing they made real product like that. I hope I have one. You also want one?

Stampede

After work I usually check my emails, blogging, reading news and researching. I'm actually reading about milk fish production and then I saw the STAMPEDE news October 04,2008. I't only October 03 here at 6:00pm when I read it. I right away ask my freind if its true. She told me there is no stampede. She said the news I read was 2006, how come they dated the news Oct. 04, 2008? It did made me felt bad so much. Atleast the news was just remembering what happened last October 4, 2006 maybe because its the same day " Saturday" that's why I thought it's real.I really felt so bad with the lost lives. 88 people died. They are just trying to find their luck in winning the big prizes but sad to say they lost their lives.

Last night we are just talking about stampede in India while people are praying and somebody shouted there's bomb but it's not true and 236 people died of stampede. This is also sad peolpe die just because of false thoughts.

Reading about Philippine stampede this Saturday, people do blame the host ( Willie) of the show. Why? It's not his fault. It's no ones fault. It's accident! Well looking troughly on the case. People may say ABS-CBN must have their new system of holding such big shows. This is not the first time! Wake up management of ABS-CBN you cannot just pay again the family of the victims. Please do make your new system for the show. On the other hand they will blame it to people who went there without thinking that this will happen in a big crowd. Imagine about 30,000 people were lured to join the game show's anniversary celebration becuase of the big prizes, like cars and money at stake. Some had even lined up for two days to get tickets.

Ok, this is past. I'm really sorry to all the families who lost their love ones. We will pray for you. Hopefully there will be no next stampede on their next anniversary.

The "3 Fs" of Effective Parenting

Discipline should be:

Firm: Consequences should be clearly stated and then adhered to when the inappropriate behavior occurs.

Fair: The punishment should fit the crime. Also in the case of recurring behavior, consequences should be stated in advance so the child knows what to expect. Harsh punishment is not necessary. Using a simple Time Out can be effective when it is used consistently every time the behavior occurs. Also, use of reward for a period of time like part of a day or a whole day when no Time Outs or maybe only one Time Out is received.

Friendly: Use a friendly but firm communication style when letting a children know they have behaved inappropriately and let them know they will receive the "agreed upon" consequence. Encourage them to try to remember what they should do instead to avoid future consequences. Work at "catching them being good" and praise them for appropriate behavior.

Top 10 Good Discipline Habits

There are a lot of ways how parents discipline their kids. These ways are from Dr. Melanie's Top 10 Good Discipline Habits. Hope did give you idea how to deal with your kids.

10. Demonstrate unconditional love by separating your child from her behavior. "I love you, even though I can't love what you did."

9. Be fun. Show your sense of humor and notice good behavior.

8. Be firm and consistent. Do what you say you're going to do to give your child a sense of security.

7. Be fair. Allow your child to keep his own power, and offer choices.

6. Expect and allow your child to live with the consequences of her behavior. She needs to know she is responsible for her own actions.

5. Tell your child what behavior you want by setting limits, ahead of time when possible. "I need you to..." "It's time to..."

4. Overlook the small stuff. Kids are little and human and will make all kinds of mistakes. Save your discipline for the real problems.

3. Respect your child's feelings and uniqueness. Find creative alternatives to spanking.

2. Practice a positive language with your child. "no" and "don't" are not helpful. Tell your child what to do in the positive: say "You can"...instead.

1. Model what you want your child to do and be.

10 THINGS NO ONE EVER TELLS NEW PARENTS

1. Baby may cry more the second week of life than the first... now recovered from birthing and understands that crying will get action!

2. Always feed a hungry baby.

3. 100% of Baby's nutrition comes from his breastmilk/formula the first 6 months of life. The second six months, 75% of his nutrition STILL comes from his breastmilk/formula.

4. Wiping Baby's gums after feedings with a dry washcloth over your finger keeps milk from pooling in mouth, and gets Baby used to your fingers in his mouth for later dental hygiene.

5. Putting Baby on her tummy often during waking hours helps her develop much needed neck and shoulder strength. Even if she doesn't like it, she needs it.

6. When Baby's feet are cool and her tummy's warm, she's okay; when her feet and her tummy are cool, she's cold.

7. Dads are for play and pleasure. Moms are for food and comfort. Babies know this.

8. 3 big mistakes new parents make: not getting sleep; not getting help; not getting out.

9. Clockwise tummy massage relieves trapped gas pain, also balancing on a 24" beach ball.

10. Maalox (on bottom) helps diaper rash.

Nectarine

Nectarines are essentially the same fruit as Peaches, the primary difference is that nectarines are smooth-skinned and peaches are fuzzy. The smooth-skin characteristic that distinguishes nectarines is a minor genetic variation, like red hair among people; it is even possible that a peach tree may suddenly produce a branch that bears nectarines, and vice versa. Most recommended varieties have red-and-yellow skins with yellow or white flesh.

Scientific classification: The nectarine belongs to the family Rosaceae. It is classified as Prunus persica variety nucipersica.

How to Store:To speed up the ripening process, place nectarines in a paper bag and store loosely at room temperature. Once ripe, nectarines will keep in the refrigerator for a week. Nutritional Facts:· Low fat· Saturated fat-free· Sodium-free· Cholesterol-free· A good source of vitamin C

Detailed nutritional informatin can be found by searching the USDA Nutritional Database .

I researched this because it is my first time to eat this fruit. One of my co-worker shared to us and I'm glad to eat new fruit that I never knew.

China's tainted milk product

Tuesday, ‎September ‎23, ‎2008, ‏‎6:54:11 PM I got a message from my concerned friend reminding me about the China's tainted milk products. This is her offline message:

angelzhannin: Hi friends, the ff items have been recalled due 2 china's milk situation. m&m's,snickers, mentos, yoghurt bottle, dove choc, oreo, wafer sticks, monmilk, dutchlady sterilize milk, wall's all natural mango, mini poppers ice cream, magnum ice cream, moo sandwich ice cream, mini cornetto, can ice cream. weve been asked by AVA 2 remove them from our stores. if you have any of these items in ur house dont eat them.this is real. please pass.....from a concerned friend......

OREO? I love oreo! after reading the message I felt bad because I've got a lot of stock of oreo! I asked my husband right away if we are affected with the China's tainted milk products. He told me of course not! US produce our dairy products. Ah ok (hehehe). At least I don't need to throw my oreo.

2:15 AM of September 29, watching news they say all Asian countries that has China dairy products was already out of the shelves. That was great for prevention purposes. But before they band the products, tainted baby formula has sickened nearly 53,000 Chinese infants. I really felt bad. I'm thankful our country band all dairy products from China :The Philippines joined that list Tuesday when Bureau of Food and Drugs chief Leticia Barbara Gutierrez banned all milk imports from China as a precaution. She said her office has no record of baby formula imports from China.

To all before we buy food the most important thing to do is check the labels at the back and be sure to check the expiration date.

Debate

Sens. John McCain and Barack Obama discussed their differences in Friday's presidential debate.

Election is fast approching. I'm actually sick and tired of listening to all the news. I know we need to know what is happening around us. Well I guess I should because somehow we are affected with the situations since we are living here.

About the most awaiting debate between Obama-McCain already finished. And then what's next? Of course issues about it. It's all political. But atleast people heard each other's side. Next they scheduled another debate between Palin and Biden. Personally I like Biden than Palin but I can't vote here. I'm just wishing the honest one will win.

What I like most is what I observed after the debate. 1st- Obama congratulated McCain. 2nd - Obama approached his wife. On the side the wife approached McCain. 3rd - Obama and Michelle approached McCain and his wife and shaked hands before they left. With my simple observation I can tell that Obama is really down to earth and McCain feels he's on top.

Look at simple act of each person and you really can tell who will be the best future President. To all who can vote... Vote wise!!!

Butterfly

This is so beautiful. A creation that makes someones heart happy when looking at it. In our highschool time we studied about pollination and butterflies also got that job. So amazing because I guess they don't intent to do it but they are helping in beautification without thinking.

Idea I got from other site....

To make a seed, the pollen has to find its way to a pistiland travel down to reach the egg. The is called "pollination."

Just like making new people, plants need a male (man) and female (woman) to make new seed which will grow into a new plant. The difference with plants is that plants have both the male and the female parts in a single flower. The male part of the flower makes 'pollen." Pollen looks like a powder or dust. The female part of the flower (called the pistil) makes the egg. Pollination is the way "pollen" from the male part of a flower gets to the egg in the female part of a flower to form a seed. Pollination is carried out by wind, rain or little creatures called "pollinators."

Chicken Teriyaki

Teryaki always reminds me back home. I love eating this food so much. I wish one day I can get the real taste of the restaurant cooking. I've tried it one time but not yummy as they make it. Somebody please give me an idea how to do it perfectly and yummy? Thanks in advance.

What's Teriyaki?

Teriyaki (kanji: き; hiragana: てりやき) is a cooking technique used in Japanese cuisine in which foods are broiled or grilled in a sweet soy sauce marinade (tare in Japanese). Teriyaki is served in most modern Japanese cuisines.
Fishyellowtail, marlin, skipjack tuna, salmon, trout, and mackerel – is mainly used in Japan, while meat – chicken, pork, lamb and beef – is more often used in the West. Other ingredients sometimes used in Japan include konjac and squid.

The word teriyaki derives from the noun teri (照り, teri?), which refers to a shine or luster given by the sugar content in the tare, and yaki (焼き, yaki?), which refers to the cooking method of grilling or broiling. Traditionally the meat is dipped in or brushed with sauce several times before and during cooking.

The tare is traditionally made by mixing and heating soy sauce, sake or mirin, and sugar or honey. The sauce is boiled and reduced to the desired thickness, then used to marinate meat which is then grilled or broiled. Sometimes ginger is added, and the final dish may be garnished with green onions.

Teriyaki can also be served cold, as it often is in bento menus.

Strength...

This is really true! There are times when I really feel week because of people who betrayed me and I can't understand why they do it to me. I ask strength from God and He always helps me. Whenever you have problems and you need somebody to cling on? Pray with all your heart and God will give you what's for you. If you think God didn't answer your prayer, maybe because that problem you are facing God knows you can do it. God is so good. Don't forget His always ready for us.

Anemonefish

Amphiprion ocellaris
Clown Anemonefish
Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Chordata
Genus: Amphiprion
species: Amphiprion ocellaris

Adults are an orange-brown color with two white bars with black edging encircling the body. The first bar is located on the head behind the eyes and may be thin and broken. The second bar is on the body below the dorsal fin. The caudal peduncle and caudal fin are white. Juveniles are normally brown with three white stripes. In sub-adults the colouring changes to a dull yellow with two white stripes. They have 10 to 11 dorsal spines and 2 anal spines. They reach a maximum length of 9 cm (3½ in) and weigh on average 27.50 g (0.97 oz).

Life History

There is a strong hierarchy within a group of anemonefish inhabiting one anemone. Usually, a large female dominates. She mates only with the largest males. The female lays eggs in or near the anemone. If a suitable surface is not available, the female may even drag one near the anemone. This behavior allows anemonefish to be among the few reef fishes that have been successfully bred in captivity.

Some reef fish species are able to turn from females into males. This is actually a common ability. But anemonefish have the ability to sex-change from male to female (called Protandrous Hermaphroditism). All anemonefish are born male with active male and dormant female reproductive organs. If the female dies, then the dominant male will sex-change into a female, and a non-dominant male will change into a dominant male. This allows anemonefish inhabiting one anemone to remain self-sufficient in that if the female dies there is no need for the male to find a new mate. The responsibility for caring of the eggs becomes the "new" female's job!

Anemonefish care for their spawn by fanning the eggs with their fins, removing litter or dead eggs using their mouths with great precision, and keeping other fish away.

This fish always reminds me of my favorite movie " Finding Nemo". Our son loves to look at that picture in our calendar. It was nice to research and know more about things we don't have ideas. Internet is really great! Provide answers that will satisfy us.

Happy with Work!!!

Work eats most of our time. We don't have a choice because working is money. And money is always important in our life. Not really number one but it's so important for us to live. We are still lucky air is free.

I'm so happy with my work. Eventhough i don't use my profession but still I'm happy. What's makes me happy and enjoy in my work are my co- Filipino workers. I'm really blessed to have them as my co-worker because I'm sure they are not plastic type of person. They usually share what's their food. They are not greedy.

At first I'm hoping to get along with them. On my first day they do show goodness and until now I'm already one month on my work they are still the same. God is so good to me! He put me on a job that I'll always enjoy and just right for me.

Main causes of liver damage

The main causes of liver damage are:

1. Sleeping too late and waking up too late are main cause.
2. Not urinating in the morning.
3. Too much eating.
4. Skipping breakfast.
5. Consuming too much medication.
6. Consuming too much preservatives, additives, food coloring, and artificial sweetener.
7. Consuming unhealthy cooking oil. As much as possible reduce cooking oil use when frying, which includes even the best cooking oils like olive oil. Do not consume fried foods when you are tired, except if the body is very fit.
8. Consuming raw (overly done) foods also add to the burden of liver.
Veggies should be eaten raw or cooked 3-5 parts. Fried veggies should be finished in one sitting, do not store.

Something to Consider

Something to consider next time you go shopping for lipstick......
This comes from someone who works in the breast cancer unit at
Mt. Sinai Hospital , in Toronto, Dr. Nahid Neman. If there is a female you care anything about, share this with her. I did!!!!! I am also sharing this with the males on my email list,
because they need to tell the females THEY care about as well!Recently a lipstick brand called "Red Earth" decreased their prices from
$67 to $9.90. It contained lead. Lead is a chemical which causes cancer. The lipstick brands that contain lead are:

CHRISTIAN DIOR
LANCOME
CLINIQUE
Y.S.L
ESTEE LAUDER
SHISEIDO
RED EARTH (Lip Gloss)
CHANEL (Lip Conditioner)
MARKET AMERICA-MOTNES LIPSTICK.

The higher the lead content, the greater the chance of causing cancer. After doing a test on lipsticks, the Y.S.L. lipstick was found that contained the most amount of lead. Watch out for those lipsticks which are supposed to stay longer. If your lipstick stays longer, it is because of the higher content of lead.
Here is the test you can do yourself:
1. Put some lipstick on your hand.
2. Use a Gold ring to scratch on the lipstick.
3. If the lipstick colour changes to black,
then you know the lipstick contains lead.
Please send this information to all your girlfriends, wives and female family members. This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center Dioxin Carcinogens cause cancer, especially breast cancer.
Aside from forwarding this to all email list I decided to post this here on my blog so that everybody who reads my blog will know this idea. So to all be aware of what you should use.

Look at this picture. Is this a simple job or not? I really want to experience this work but unfortunately in the place where I grew up, Cashier is only for beautiful girls or good looking guy. Well beautiful for us is with light skin. I'm dark so I'm not one of those pleasing personality as they discribed. I'm so hurt! But atleast here, eventhough I'm not beautiful I can work as Cashier! The only difference I notice was Cashier don't sit! All day standing! No helper or we say bagger. In our city they are sitting and somebody put all those paid items in plastic or bag.

For me this is easy job if you are already familiar with all the steps in register. At first for me it was so difficult specially if register don't work and tell me error..ohh I really need more patience! But atleast now I'm learning. And since I'm new here I make sure I'm correct in terms of counting money and always careful in giving change. This job is always fun! Exciting when dealing with different characteristic of customers. I just give them my nice smile and greet them.

BRAIN DAMAGING HABITS

1. No Breakfast
People who do not take breakfast are going to have a lower blood sugar level.
This leads to an insufficient supply of nutrients to the brain causing brain degeneration.

2. Overeating
It causes hardening of the brain arteries, leading to a decrease in mental power.

3. Smoking
It causes multiple brain shrinkage and may lead to Alzheimer disease.

4. High Sugar consumption
Too much sugar will interrupt the absorption of proteins and nutrients causing malnutrition and may interfere with brain development.

5. Air Pollution
The brain is the largest oxygen consumer in our body. Inhaling polluted air decreases the supply of oxygen to the brain, bringing about a decrease in brain efficiency.

6. Sleep Deprivation
Sleep allows our brain to rest. Long term deprivation from sleep will accelerate the death of brain cells.

7. Head covered while sleeping
Sleeping with the head covered increases the concentration of carbon dioxide and decrease concentration of oxygen that may lead to brain damaging effects.

8. Working your brain during illness
Working hard or studying with sickness may lead to a decrease in effectiveness of the brain as well as damage the brain.

9. Lacking in stimulating thoughts
Thinking is the best way to train our brain, lacking in brain stimulation thoughts may cause brain shrinkage.

10. Talking Rarely
Intellectual conversations will promote the efficiency of the brain

Once in a lifetime

The top five cancer-causing foods

The top five cancer-causing foods are:
1. Hot dogs
Because they are high in nitrates, the Cancer Prevention Coalition advises that children eat no more than 12 hot dogs a month. If you can't live without hot dogs, buy those made without sodium nitrate.

2. Processed meats and bacon
Also high in the same sodium nitrates found in hot dogs, bacon, and other processed meats raise the risk of heart disease. The saturated fat in bacon also contributes to cancer.

3. Doughnuts
Doughnuts are cancer-causing double trouble. First, they are made with white flour, sugar, and hydrogenated oils, then fried at high temperatures. Doughnuts, says Adams , may be the worst food you can possibly eat to raise your risk of cancer.

4. French fries
Like doughnuts, French fries are made with hydrogenated oils and then fried at high temperatures. They also contain cancer- causing acryl amides which occur during the frying process. They should be called cancer fries, not French fries, said Adams .

5. Chips, crackers, and cookies
All are usually made with white flour and sugar. Even the ones whose labels claim to be free of trans-fats generally contain small amounts of trans-fats.
Just want to share this from a friend of mine who cares to remind me about whats food to eat. So I guess not all knew about this.... thanks to friends...

Change comes from within

Make Me One with Everything
A Buddhist monk, visiting New York City for the first time in twenty years, walked up to a hot dog vendor, handed him a twenty dollar bill, and said, “Make me one with everything.”

The vendor pocketed the money, and handed the Buddhist monk his hot dog. The monk, after waiting for a moment, asked for his change. The vendor looked at him and said, “Change comes from within.” With a wistful smile, the monk walked away.

Fannie and Freddie Issue

Our topic for the day was all about Fannie and Freddie Issue. Discussing about the idea that federal will takeover. We know this will be a big problem. They make it sound nice that Homebuyers May Get Lower Loan Rate After Fannie, Freddie Rescue. But its not a good news for us. Look they just inform us this September and they claiming they already pass the bill in May. They form a government agency to deal with the work but they never ask everybody if tax payers agree with the idea. Well anyway we are just followers of the plans of government. NO voice from citizens or workers here. I taught everything must be voted.

It's already final that federal will takeover so it means more taxes to all who work here in states. Money is not free its from us. So its not really not nice because another deductions. Well somehow people help other people to own houses with low rate. Hopefully with the contributions of all workers will really be used in a right plans not on other personal plans.I hope this country will improve economic situations.

God's Voice

Dreamcatcher

I never heard of a dreamcatcher before. I saw that thing hanging on our room and of course I want to know what are those things. My hubby explain to me the purpose of dreamcatcher and it is working according to them. Their mom always give them what they need and since they always have nightmare that is why mom gave those to them. Actually she gave us one for both of us since we are on the same birth month.
This is what the information on that piece of paper in the picture:
The Ojibway Indians believed the night air was filled with floating Dreams-both good and bad. To encourage good dreams, Ojibway Grandmothers fashioned dreamcatchers to hang above the cradleboards of sleeping infants, and to give to newly married couples to hang in their lodge.
The dreamcatcher hangs freely in the breeze. The webbing captures the night's dreams. Bad dreams become entangled and perish at the first light of day. Good dreams, knowing the way, float through the webbing down the feather and onto the dreamer. Happy Dreams!

Do you believe in Personality Test? My Mother in law passed a Tibetan Personality Test on my email and of course I tried it for fun. While on the process of doing it at first like it's just nothing because you will only answer 4 questions and just pick which will be the first or who do you know who know you more.

After answering hmmm... actually it did got my attention and made me think if its true ... some its somehow applicable like my priorities in life. If someone passes you this test just try and enjoy.. you might able to know more about yourself.

Our Hands

Looks so cute for me. Our hands together. Man don't do this things but my hubby just go with the flow as I told him to help me. This is just one of my collection to show our son when he grow up. I know boys don't care about what mommies have but wife to be will be happy to see what's are the abouts of her love.

I'm really blessed to know all the abouts of my hubby when his still a baby. Every thing was recorded by his mom. So great to hear stories about my husband and I can compare our son if he's having same attitude like his daddy. Enjoying the moment while our son still baby because I know his hand will be bigger than me someday.

Soothing Sound

The place where we stay trying to improve the surrounding. To beautify to attract customers. It's just sometimes I don't like the noise they make. Especially now they asked us to park anywhere because they will improve the parking space.

Anyway, this fountain they put there was so nice to look at and it did attract me and my son. We love to sit near that fountain to listen the sound of the water. It makes me feel relax and my son is so quite everytime we're there. It serves its purpose! And look the design, thats fantastic looks like narra leave actually. I wish we'll have like that when we have our own place.

No Comparison

Skin Color

All of us has our own different skin color. There are a lot of factors why people has that skin color. Of course the main was our diffferent race, place where we live and the cosmetics that some uses to change their skin color.

Having dark skin color as I grew up from elementary until college, I'm already used of people calling me "negra" and sometimes laugh at me because of my skin color. It did mold my personality somehow if I will think of those time they laugh at me. Nothing I can do with my skin because its in our genes. My ancestors are Negrito from Ifugao and Ita from Zambales. What you think our skin color will be? Of course dark color. I really don't like some don't have respect other people. They never think of what will be the effect to others. That's why most of the girls I know who has dark skin they will use bleach and other soap or cosmetics just to make their skin light. Why? To look beautiful? so other will not stare and laugh? Honestly I tried this once to try if those products really works and to lessen the pain when you are laugh at. But it's too much to maintain. I can't go to the beach and I can't play under the sun. I don't want life like that. Too much restriction so your color will be light.

I decided to be what I should be. Live simple and no restrictions. Beauty is in within anyway. Skin color can't affect of who you are. Stay as I'am somebody finally saw the beauty I have. Of course my husband. He loves me so much. He likes my color and he says its nice because their color is not ok with sun. Possibility of having skin cancer and he told me I'm blessed to have dark skin I don't need sunblock to protect my skin.

Human sometimes not contented of what they have. In our country people pay to lighten their skin and people here in states pay to darken their skin. The reason actually the same " to look beautiful. God make us all beautiful so actually we dont' need to do those changing in colors to attract somebody. We must be contented of what's ours. Well I know I can't convince everybody to stay on their original skin colors. I'm just happy now I'm in a place where people can sue others who laugh at each others skin. I'm so thankful God gave me this color and so happy with my life now.

Pillows

Everybody knows what are pillows. A simple soft shaped and colored thing that serve us every night when we sleep. Always gives comfort to everyone. We need them. Pillows has a lot of uses. It really depends on their master how they use them.

I enjoy hugging pillows and it's actually comforting me when I'm lonely and when I'm crying. My pillows always ready to be with me. ( hahaha) I know I'm crazy but pillows are the best thing I must have so I'll feel comforted. Some people uses them only for decorations. My son loves to hug them and also play with them. Yup I know babies are not allowed to play with pillows because they might suffocate but of course when he plays pillows I'm there to watch him.

My Work

I'm not into shopping because everytime I shop I feel like somebody robbed me after paying the things I bought. Everything are expensive now. So I don't buy things that I don't need it so badly. At least before I went here I did shop at Divisoria where clothes are so cheap. But when I got pregnant I need to buy materny clothes which is needed for preggy time. My friend advice me to find a trift store near our place and I'm so glad I found one.

Savers Value Village was the store I love to go while I'm pregnant. I'm enjoying looking at prices that are not so high but if I'll think of pesos it's still expensive but if in dollar it's already cheap. I bought some of my preggy clothes there and happy to save money.

This time I'm finally a part of the team. Fixing clothes for the customers and sometimes when needed I'm a cashier. I love to see a smile to all people who shop there. It's a smart act to buy in a trift store like ours because it's not only helping your budget but also helping other people.

So to all our customers enjoy shopping to our store and have our discounts every wednesday to monday. Also holidays we offer 50% to 70% discount like today! Yup we are so busy and to all our buyers, thanks so much.

Lucky Bamboo

Do you believe in luck? There are a lot of people depends on luck in life. Is it really true or just to make them feel good that they will have luck in their lives.

As far as I know some cultures believes luck exists. Like Chinesse they have a lot of different lucks in life. Actually I bought the love beeds before and I don't know if that thing works. I guess not or maybe it depends on the person.

This picture was taken in California. A japanese friend of my husband who happen to stay in a place own by a Chinese. This plant caught my attention and wanna share this to all my visitors.

This plant is a Dracaena sanderiana, known as Ribbon Dracaena, lucky bamboo or sometimes Ribbon Plant, is a species of Dracaena, native to Cameroon in tropical west Africa. It is one of a group of small, shrubby species with slender stems and flexible strap-shaped leaves that grow as understory plants in rainforests. It is an upright shrub growing to 1.5 m tall, with leaves 15-25 cm long and 1.5-4 cm broad at the base.

Twisted shapes can be produced by rotating the plant with respect to gravity and directed light sources. This is difficult to achieve for most home users, but not impossible with a lot of spare time and a lot of patience.

With this design I bet it really needs more patience to have this lucky plants. Well for me, I really don't believe luck exists. I believe everything we have are blessings from God. But of course I do respect people who really believe they are lucky or we say luck exists.

Jägermeister

My husband loves to drink this liqueur because he always say it doesn't give him hang over. I tried it and yup this drinks was so good and really no effect in the morning even though I'm drunk at night.

In everything I don't know about it... I always research, so again I'm sharing what I read about this liqueur we love to drink.

Jägermeister (ˈjeːgəˌmɑɪstʰə) Liqueur 35% Alcohol by Volume (70 Proof). An herbal-flavored bitter German liqueur, made from a blend of over 50 herbs, roots, fruits and spices. It is the flagship product of Mast-Jägermeister AG, headquartered in Wolfenbüttel, south of Braunschweig, Germany. Contrary to an urban legend, it does not contain any deer or elk blood. Jägermeister promotes responsible drinking :Government Warning: (1) According to the Surgeon General, women should not drink alcoholic beverages during pregnancy because of the risk of birth defects, (2) consumption of alcoholic beverages impairs your ability to drive a car or operate machinery, and may cause health problems. You must be of legal drinking age (determined by your government) to consume this product.alert('You must be of legal drinking age (determined by your government) to consume this product.')

This is a famous mixed drink with Jägermeister. My husband always mixed this for me and thats on thing my friend like because I don't need to spend alot of money to go to a bar because I have my own bartender. ;)

Jager bomb
1 serving
Calories: 213
Mixology: 1 can Red Bull energy drink, 1 ounce Jagermeister herbal liqueur
Oh, jager bomb, how we love you. One can of Red Bull will set you back 110 calories, while one ounce of Jagermeister has 103. If you like the sugar-free option, you save 100 calories, which makes it a decent choice for the weight-conscious. Random fact: Jagermeister is made from 56 different herbs, including rhubarb roots from the Himalayas and chamomile blossoms from Egypt, writes John J. Poister in his book The New American Bartender’s Guide.bn

Psalm 1:1-3

Small World

It was so hard to be in a transition period in life. Living in a place where all your family, relatives and friends are far. When you think of you are away from them you will really cry so better think you're just there next door with them and just don't have time to visit them. I know I'm just fooling myself but at least it helps me to stay brave away from my parents.

After one year, it was nice to know people that are from our dearest place but how can we know that they are ok? I mean how will we know they are good person? It just so hard to trust people you don't know. You know about crab mentality? That's one of the Pilipino traits I really hate. A lot of Pilipino here advised me not to trust right away. Why? Because they might be the one destroy your reputation in a long run. Hmmmp.... I know it's not easy not to talk with our "kabayan". It really made me happy to talk with them but again they say not to trust right away. Well I guess I will just trust my instinct. If they are not ok, just let show them your not interested to be their friend and if I felt they are fine, I still need to evaluate the true personality.

Before working I met two Pilipino in a parking lot and it was great to know they are Ilokanoes and they are from my fathers' town. It's a small world because the person I met was my father's "ka tropa" they are friends when they are kids. Wow that's nice to know one of my fathers' friends in his childhood time. Now, is it ok to be a friend to my fathers' friend? For me yes why not? It will make my papa happy to know about his long lost friend. He will be my uncle here but of course I really need to know him first before I will trust him.

Also in my work I met six Filipinoes there and I was so happy to talk with them on our break time. So far they are all nice to me. I hope they are all ok be to my new friends here. But again I can't help it, my brain always remind me to know them more before trusting them.

Gout Foot

Since College time my foot hurting me every time I stand up too long and if I walk so much miles. I look at it and my left foot not really looks normal like my right one but it's not swollen it just ache if I do those two things. It's actually the joint that is getting bigger compare last time. So I'm guesing it's maybe Gout Foot.

What is Gout Foot?

Gout is a form of arthritis that occurs as a result of the build-up of uric acid in the body and the joint fluid ( hyperuricemia ). This accumulation of uric acid typically occurs when the body has difficulty processing certain protein substances called purines (PURE-EENS) that are found naturally in our diets.

The actual build-up of uric acid can result when the body has difficulty eliminating uric acid through the kidneys and urine, or in some cases, when the body produces too much uric acid. The tendency to accumulate uric acid is often hereditary. It can, however, skip an individual or even a generation and reappear in the children of someone who has no signs of gout. While it is most commonly seen in males between fifty and sixty years of age, gout does occur in females and in younger males.

Symptoms of Gout Foot

Gout usually starts with a sudden onset of intense pain in one or more joints, usually the big toe joint of the foot. The pain is accompanied by redness, swelling and warmth over the joint. Typically, the patient does not recall injuring the joint before the pain started. Many patients say they first noticed pain in the middle of the night or upon arising in the morning.
While symptoms most commonly occur in the big toe joint, any joint may be involved. Other common sites are the instep of the foot, the ankle, or the knee. When the foot is involved, wearing shoes is difficult and painful, as are attempts to move the joint or stand on the foot.

Treatment for Gout Foot Symptoms

Call us immediately. Let us know if you have a red, hot big toe joint (or other joint) and we will get you in right away. In the meantime, you should rest and not walk if you can avoid it. Putting a hot pad or an ice pack on the joint may ease the pain. Avoid any pressure on the foot – even the weight of sheets can be painful. Medicines that you can take without a prescription that reduce inflammation, such as aspirin or ibuprofen may help. When you come to the office we will evaluate your foot to determine if the problem is gout or some other problem (such as an infection). We may have a blood draw done to check for infection and also to check the level of uric acid in your blood. Once we are confident the problem is gout we will prescribe medication that usually relieves the pain fairly rapidly – it will usually resolve completely within a few days. We will also provide treatment to limit the pain while you wait for the medicine to take effect.

After reading the information above... I guess I need to set an appointment to know what's this pain on my foot joint. It's better to be sure and prevent more pain in the future.
