First Word?

How will you know the first word of a baby? Is it the word that you hear once or words that he keeps on repeating when his crying? I'm actually confused what to answer if somebody ask me "what's his first word?"
At second month our son always say "ging" so much and also "ok" but I didn't considered those words because he still an infant. Impossible that's his first word. Now he don't even say that anymore. I heard him saying these words at once or twice; "three", "two", "gagu", "dede","hala", "dada", "dady" and even "birthday". Sometimes I'm thinking maybe it's just my imagination that I heard him, but I did. I don't know.
I guess my husband was right he actually keeps on telling me that our babys' first word is "DADA". We heard that 4 days in a row but I'm not convinced last four days because he just said it once in a day, so not valid. Today at 6:12 PM, baby keeps on repeating the word "dada". We try to say it then he follows after us. Now, I concluded that's dada is his first word. Sorry for me I never heard mama or mommy from our son yet.

Cup Cake

Happy to see these perfectly shape cup cakes. This is actually my first time to do this and I'm just so proud I estimated each one just right. Actually I burned my wrist when I made these cup cakes. Anyway it's worth I guess... I made this for my parents-in-law when they visit us. It's yummy and if you want to try make like this, just be confident and have fun doing it. By the way that's not from scratch. We both the ready to mix one. To make it easy for me and not to much trouble.

Mass Effect

She's my hubby's' character in Mass Effect. Looking at her everyday made me like her face but not her attitude because he played more on the bad side. He actually finished this game about 53 hours. He played a lot of different games to gain points on his Xbox.
Mass Effect is an action role-playing game developed by BioWare for Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. The Xbox 360 edition was released worldwide in November 2007. The PC edition was released on May 28, 2008, published by Electronic Arts. The game takes place in the year 2183, with the player assuming the role of an elite human soldier named Commander Shepard, set out to explore the Galaxy on his ship, the SSV Normandy.
In addition to plans for two sequels to complete a trilogy, BioWare plans to release episodic content via Xbox Live to fill in the story between each game, though these episodes are not essential for understanding the main plot line.[12] The first of these downloadable content packages was released on March 10, 2008 for the Xbox 360, and July 29, 2008 for the PC.

Is RICE important?

Rice is the main source of energy for Filipinos. It's always part of our meals. Without rice we can't say it's a meal, but it's just snack.

At first I make sure that my husband will eat rice, I'm lucky he eats meals with it. But I guess it's just psychological that I must eat rice because we are really use to eat meal with it so it's on our mind that we must.

My hubby tries to convince me its ok without rice because it's just carbohydrates. There are a lot of food with carbohydrates. So we try eating potatoes since it's not expensive like rice. Bread n cereal in the morning, burgers, nachios, burritos, quesadia, tacos at lunch then spaghetti, corn chowder, macaroni with cheese, pizza and all food without rice for dinner. I tried not eating rice in three days, made me weak. Not really that weak but I felt like I need it. Rice is important for me so I asked my hubby to buy sack of rice.

What attracts me first? The shape of the bottle. Then curious of what's the taste of that cognac. Honestly made me think of how will I pronounce the name "COURVOISIER". Before asking my husband how to say it, I tried but I failed. He corrected me and informed me it's a French word.I'm glad they taught me the idea of how to read French words. Like that courvoisier cognac it's pronounce like this: kūr-vwah-zē-ā′

Courvoisier is a brand of cognac. The company is now based in the town of Jarnac in the Charente department. Although no evidence exists that Courvoisier cognac was the favorite drink of Napoleon Bonaparte, who died in 1821, before Courvoisier was officially established by Felix Courvoisier in 1835, the company website claims the following:
The origin of our history goes back to the beginning of the 19th century with Emmanuel Courvoisier and his associate, Louis Gallois, running a wine and spirit merchant company, in the Parisian suburb of Bercy. In 1811 Napoleon visited their warehouses in Bercy and he was hosted by Louis Gallois, the Mayor, and Emmanuel Courvoisier. Legend has it that Napoleon I later took several barrels of cognac with him to St Helena, a treat much appreciated by the English officers on the ship who named it 'The Cognac of Napoleon'

I miss Aratiles so much. I grew up eating this sweet wild cherry every afternoon. I cherish every piece I got from the tree. Climb with plastics for ice so I can keep them while I hang like a monkey on the tree. And if I'll forgot to bring plastic with me, I'll eat them so fast. It will really made me full. I guess that's the reason why I don't ask my mom to buy snack for me.

By the way what's Aratiles? Muntingia calabura Linn is the scientific name. It's one of the Philippine Medicinal Plants. A fast growing tree to a height of 5-10 meters, with spreading branches. Leaves are hairy, sticky, alternate, distichous, oblong-ovate to broadly oblong-lanceolate, 8 to 12 cm long, with toothed margins, pointed apex and inequilateral base, one side rounded and the other acute. Flowers are 2 cm in diameter, white, extra-axillary, solitary or in pairs. Sepals are 5, green, reflexed, lanceolate, about 1 cm long. Petals are white, obovate, i cm long and spreading. The berry fruitis rounded, about 1.5 cm diameter, red on ripening, smooth, fleshy, sweet and many seeded.

In Mexico, the fruits are eaten and sold in markets. The fruits can be processed into jams and the leaves can be used for making tea. In Brazil, the trees are planted along river banks. The fruits falling from the tree attract fish that are then caught. In the Philippines the fruits are usually eaten mostly by children although it is not sold in markets.

In traditional medicine, its flowers can be used as an antiseptic and treat abdominal cramps.
The timber from the Jamaican cherry is reddish-brown. It is compact, durable and lightweight and can be used for carpentry. It could also be used as firewood. The bark can be used to produce ropes. Due to its ability to grow in poor soil and its effective propagation by means of bats and birds, it could be used for reforestation projects.

In India, it is used in urban gardens for its ability to grow fast and attractiveness to small fruit eating birds such as the flowerpeckers. It is also commonly planted in parking lots.

I'm so thankful its free in our country, we will just climb to our neighbors' tree. When I'm on my high school days I plant my own tree so no one will tell me not to climb on their tree. I remember my first boyfriends' visit, I'm actually on the tree. I made a little place where I can lay down at night to look at the stars. Just made me happy to reminisced my experiences with my Aratiles tree.

Benefits of Vitamin E

During pregnancy I gained more weight. Since I'm a skinny woman I've got a lot of stretch marks. One of my friend advice me to rub vitamin E lotion on my tummy to prevent stretch marks but it didn't work for me. But I do believe vitamin E has a lot of benefits to us. The benefits of vitamin e for the overall good health of individuals are substantial. In particular, vitamin E is very important in healthy and proper skin care.

First of all, because of its antioxidant activity, vitamin e is vital in protecting skin cells from ultra violet light, pollution, drugs, and other elements that produce cell damaging free radicals. It is believed that vitamin e is most effective in its natural alcohol form rather than its acetate form where it is a less effective antioxidant. Watch for this in the labeling of skin care products.

Regulator for Vitamin A
The benefits of vitamin e for healthy skin care also include its ability to regulate vitamin a in the body, which itself is important for healthy skin.

Anti-Aging Benefits of Vitamin E
Vitamin e added to lotions, creams, and other skin care products, as well as taken orally, plays a role in the anti-aging of skin. It helps skin look younger by reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Also, free radicals are believed to play an important role in skin aging and therefore the antioxidant activity is quite valuable for this skin problem.

Sun Protection and Sun Burn Treatment
Vitamin e lotions provide some benefit in preventing and treating sunburns. These lotions protect the epidermis layer of the skin from early stages of ultra violet light damage. Vitamin e preparations also increase the effectiveness of sunscreens. Such lotions do not work immediately. They must be applied about 20 minutes before sun exposure in order to allow the vitamin e to be absorbed deep into the epidermis layer.

Treatment of Skin Diseases
Vitamin e can aid in the treatment of various skin diseases or skin conditions. Topical applications such as those used to treat psoriasis is one of the benefits of vitamin e. Orally ingested vitamin e can help treat erythema (a skin inflammation that results in reddish, painful, and tender lumps).

Treatment of Scars
This is one of the more controversial benefits of vitamin e. Initially, it was thought that vitamin e was very beneficial in the prevention and treatment of scarring (acne scars or surgical scars) and healing of skin from various forms of damage such as burns. Some recent research has questioned this benefit of vitamin e. In fact some studies have indicated that vitamin e creams do not help prevent surgical scarring and may actually make the scar look worse. This is in opposition to the experience of a number of individuals that claim vitamin e creams help soften the appearance of scars.

Skin Cancer
One of the most important benefits of vitamin e is the prevention of skin cancer. This occurs because of its sun protection quality and of course its powerful antioxidant properties, which help reduce or prevent sun damage.

There are a variety of other benefits of vitamin e for skin care: vitamin e products help reduce the appearance of stretch marks ; vitamin e can help prevent the appearance of age spots it helps maintain the skin’s oil balance during the cleansing process it reduces transepidermal water loss from skin and strengthens the skin’s barrier function. Overall for skin care, more benefit is obtained from topical application of vitamin e through creams or lotions rather than taking vitamin e orally. Skin is able to absorb natural vitamin e effectively. However, taking vitamin e orally is important for the good health of other areas of the body. The recommended skin lotions and creams by many experts are those that contain the alcohol form of vitamin e (alpha-tocopherol) instead of the acetate form (alpha-tocopherol acetate). The acetate form does not penetrate the skin’s surface well and provides less of the benefits of vitamin e such as antioxidant activity for the skin.

Why is vitamin e important for good health?

There are several benefits of vitamin e for your body. Some preliminary studies involving intakes of vitamin e higher than the daily-recommended requirement have shown that vitamin e may be useful in treating or possibly preventing:

menstrual pain
low sperm count
inflammation of eye tissues
restless leg syndrome or relief from muscle cramping
Alzheimer’s disease
Parkinson’s disease
rheumatoid arthritis
various diabetes related complications and maybe helpful in treating and preventing diabetes itself
cardiovascular disease
prostate cancer and breast cancer

Benefits of vitamin e also include helping the body increase and regulate the levels of vitamin a in the body and as a general immune system booster, especially in older adults. Topical vitamin e might also promote good blood circulation and prevent the formation of blood clots, especially in people with diabetes.
The problem is that although it is agreed that vitamin e is a very useful and essential vitamin for humans (especially for its antioxidant activity), many of the stated benefits of vitamin e are anecdotal. There are few in depth studies available to verify some of the benefits of vitamin e claims that are being made. However, there are numerous informal reports of individuals insisting significant health benefits with increased levels of vitamin e. Further scientific study will help to target specifically whether vitamin e truly does play a role in treating or preventing the conditions mentioned above.

Dungeon Crab for Dinner

Last night we went to our friends' house. They invited us for dinner. That was a great dinner because they prepared dungeon crab thai recipe.

First he killed the live crab then steam them. Chopped Ginger,Onion Strings and Onion. Saute' all ingredients with chilli oil them add the steamed crab then add oyster sauce. Simple mixing and it was so yummy. We ate for almost one hour. I can't just stop eating eventhough it was so spicy.

Our friend packed some of the crab for us to bring home. That was so kind! I'm so happy to have the same meal for today. I love crabs.

Shopping List

You think it's better to have your shopping list before going to store? For me sometimes its nice to have your list so you'll know what you really need to buy and go right away to the shelves where those things located. Save money and time on shopping.

Last night at 8pm we went to Walmart, just to buy my partners' work shoes. We ended buying food for our baby even we still have more stock at home. We also got kisses because it was a nice deal. Some gatorade, protein bars and other food my hubby picked even though its not that important. We also buy potty training seat for our son, so young to have but we just bought it. With all those non-essential things we picked, I'm still happy I do control myself somehow because even though hubby told me to pick new shoes for me, I never did it because I don't need it for now. At least help to lessen the expenses for that night.

So next time, I will be strict and tell him to be wise inside shopping stores. Because sometimes when you are there inside you can't control yourself but to pick what you want not only what you really need. Self- discipline is really needed and I guess shopping list can help to remind us not to go beyond the budget.

Internet threats

Internet has a great role in humans' life now. Our day will not be completed without checking our emails, blog hopping, buying and other transactions we made through internet. Yup not all are into computers or internet surfing but a lot are really into it. Like me before its fine not to visit until one week but now with easy access why not. And specially now I enjoy blogging even though I'm not really good in my English.

While we surf we really want fast server and of course we want our computer to be protected from internet threats. How sure are we that our computer will not crash? Here in states if your computer crash, sorry you really need to buy new one because it's so expensive to hire technician to fix it. Not like in our country, our friends can just fix it and not that expensive.

This day was a threat because when I visited one blog, it did pop more than 30x and still don't stop so my quick next step was to off the computer. I'm so scared of viruses because last year we just throw our computer because it crashed. Hoping it will not happen again to this computer.

That's why until now (3am) I'm still awake I'm downloading additional anti-virus.... What? gosh it says our vista was not updated. I really don't know how to do this things.... I'm tired now..I guess i will just ask my hubby about it tomorrow. Take care of your computer. Enjoy blogging.

Happy 6th Months!!!

Today is our son's half year day. Babies grow so fast! Every month has different developments. He entertain us a lot. We can't explain the joy to have him in our lives. Such a great blessing from God.
At 5th month, he knows how to stand up on his own, blows air on my face to wake me up and he is so fascinated with books. I can't just leave him because he loves to stand up and walk little by little. I'm afraid he might out balance and hurt his head.
I'm so excited to see what will be his six months' developments. Hopefully he will not ask for milk at night anymore. That is my wish for this month. Sad to share he still wake me up twice at night. Well let us see if thats his gift to mommie. To celebrate his half year old, i just ask my hubby to buy chicken teriyaki and a bento box. Happy 6th Months to our adorable son.

Dancing is a performing art. It's not easy to dance, you need concentration to know all the steps and be confident to perform in front of people. But once you experience dancing, your self -esteem will raise and will develop flexibility. In dancing you can also expressed your emotion. Enjoy the moments while doing every actions.

Since I'm a kid I always involve myself in school and town programs. We usually got the opportunity to dance. I love to dance specially if I like the beat. Makes me happy after performing and felt so satisfied like I achieve my goal after all the practices. I really have that passion for dancing.

It was a great joy and privilege to dance in my college life. Dancesport competition is one of the best event in our school. It was so exciting to represent our department. Since I don't have confidence to ware daring costumes I only performed Standard Ballroom. So we dance; Waltz, Foxrot, Tango, Viennese Waltz and Quickstep. With these dances I wore long gown and no worries of what people may say about my skin color.

When I graduated college I never thought I will still dance. Another wonderful experience offered to me, so I grabbed the opportunity. The difference was this time I performed Latin dances. Those are Cha Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble, Samba and Jive. With these dances I finally challenged myself to ware daring costume. At least it's worth to ware because we won on this competition.

Those are my great experiences in dancing. Now, I still dance with my son to make him sleep and for my exercise. So to all who are shy to dance, go out on your shell and explore the world of dancing.

Footprints in the sand

An amazing poem that always encourages me in times I have problems... This is so true in my life bacause God never leaves me. God is everywhere!!! God loves us all.

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed He was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from His life. For each scene He noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One belonging to Him and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of His life flashed before Him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of His life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of His life.

This really bothered Him and He questioned the LORD about it. LORD you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.

The LORD replied, my precious, precious child, I Love you and I would never leave you! During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.

Everytime my husbands home, we talk about how was his day. Busy or a lot of customers.I've noticed for the third time we talk about ARWANA. It's because one of his technician telling him that he spend most of his time watching his pet. And his so happy to tell my husband that he found a store selling 12 guffies for a $1.

My husband ask me " you have idea about the fish?". I remember that fish is expensive to take care. My uncle use to buy little fish just for one day eating. For me it's just like you love to kill other fish just to satisfy your pet. Not nice to see. And also my uncle use to catch lizard to give it to his pet. They say its a lucky fish. So to know more i did read online about it and just wanna share it.

The Asian Arowana (Scleropages formosus), are a bony-tongued fish that are closer to prehistoric times then many other fish. Like other Arowana the Asian Arowana can become fairly large, upwards to 36 inches. They are also called Dragon Fish, and Asian Bonytongue.

The Asian Arowana originate as the name suggest in Asia. They are found in Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. The Asian Arowana are an endangered species, and hard to come by as the trade is regulated. If you decide to acquiring one you should make sure that you follow all laws involved, to help protect this species. Like other Arowana can become large. They may become upwards of 35” long (90cm). It is important to remember this when buying one and choosing an aquarium for an Asian Arowana since even if the specimen you buy might be only one feet long (30cm) when you buy it, it grows fast and will require a large aquarium in a short amount of time.

Asian Arowana are as earlier mentioned also called Dragon Fish in the orient, not so much cause they look like dragons even if this is an aspect of it but rather because they feel it is an incarnation of the dragon itself. It is believed they bring good luck, deters evil, and keeps the family together, while bringing happiness and health.

They actually come in a few different variants, and some believe each may be distinct sub species. Asian Arowana variants include Cross Back Golden, Super Red, Red Tail, Golden, and Green Arowana.

The Cross Back Golden Asian Arowana originates in West Malaysia. These are in the highest demand, as it is believed they bring extra good fortune. Cross Back Golden Asian Arowana have been called Pahang Gold, Malayan Bonytongue, Bukit Merah Blue, Taiping Golden and the Malaysian Gold. They are quite rare and the demand is always high which brings the prices of these fish up to high levels. Cross-Back fins can be found in other color forms to like Purples, Blues, Red, varying Gold, Green, and Silver.

The Super Red Asian Arowana originated in Indonesia (Western Kalimantan Province). They can mainly be found in the waters of Lake Sentarum and the River Kapuas, and are one of the most popular Asian Arowana due to their beautiful red colors. Super Red Asian Arowana is much more common than the Cross Back Golden Asian Arowana. There are 4 varieties of red Arowana, Blood Red, Orange Red, Chili Red, and Golden Red Arowana. The red color is first visible in the fins in young specimens and gradually moves onto their entire body as they mature.

The Red Tail Golden Asian Arowana is found in Indonesia (Pekan Baru). They are more common and more affordable than Cross-Back Gold Asian Arowana since they are more abundant in the wild, as well as the fact that they are not as “Gold” as the Cross-Back Golden Asian Arowana. They are also a little more aggressive Cross-Back Golden Arowana which they otherwise have many of the same traits as.

The Green Tail Asian Arowana is usually found in Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, Indonesia, and Cambodia. Due to the large coverage, there can be a lot more difference in these than in other Asian Arowana. Most are grayish green, and have a head that is larger and rounder then other varieties. These are one of the cheapest forms of all Asian Arowana.

Keeping Asian Arowana can be enjoyable, though remember, they need big tanks by the time they grow up.

As with any fish, keeping the tank in a location where they are safe from being bumped into, or stirred up unnecessarily, is wise. You need to keep the top covered and held down as well, since they are excellent jumpers and otherwise may wind up outside the tank. 55 gallon might be sufficient for juveniles, though 150 gallon+ would be advisable as they mature and grow larger. Remember, moving the tank is not going to be easy at all, so better planning now will save a lot of time later and spare the Asian Arowana a shocking experience

Asian Arowana prefers to live in water with a temperature of about 75 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit (24-30 C). The pH level is best kept between 7.0 and 7.5. It is recommendable to use several water heaters to make sure that there is a backup if one fails since they can be sensitive to lower temperatures.

Lighting plays a larger role when keeping an Asian Arowana than it does with many other fish. Good lighting is required to get your fish to develop good coloration and sunlight is beneficial to this end. You should however never place the aquarium in direct sunlight since the fish are sensitive to rapid changes in the temperature. To much sunlight can also cause sever algae problems. The lighting in an aquarium dedicated to keeping Arowana fish should preferable increase and degrees the light levels slowly since the fish otherwise might become very stressed and injure themselves against the decoration, aquarium glass etc.

Effective Biological, Chemical, and Mechanical filtration should be deemed necessary when keeping Asian Arowana. They are carnivores will create a lot of waste material with put a large stress on the filters. One suggested means of filtration would be a Bio-Wheel type system. Bio-Wheel type systems not only helps clean the aquarium but also help oxygenate the water to a small degree, which is especially good when keeping larger fish. Combined with a good carbon element, this and good gravel at the bottom of the tank should help keep the Ammonia, Ammonium, and Nitrites down. It is necessary to change out about 25% of the tank’s water each week.

Asian Arowana is not too picky when it comes to food and there is a lot they will eat. Young should be fed a mix of Live and Frozen Brine Shrimp, black worms, and small fish. As they get older, Frogs, Fish, and Shrimp makes good food. There are many other food sources that can be used to feed your fish and a quick search on the internet should give you a lot of tips of other food sources. Often if your water quality is bad, or your Asian Arowana is sick, it may not be eating. It is therefore wise to monitor your fish for quietness, loss of aggressiveness, or change in patterns of their daily routine and take step to remedy the a problem if one is discovered.

High IQ level

There are a lot of high IQ level kids now a days. I'm surprised when my mother in law told me that my husband is one of them. At the age of 18 months he already know how to talk. Not only talking non sense but with nice sentences. Knows how to formulate his questions. According to his mom, somebody ask her before if he's 3 yrs old. That's actually nice to know that your son has high IQ level. Just be ready to answer a lot of questions. And at the age of 3, he knows a lot of cars. He can even tell what's the engine of the different cars. He can tell all the names of the cars he sees in the road. He knows all those because he loves to read car magazines since his uncle have issue every month. He actually graduated in a school for kids with high IQ level.

I'm so glad to know about my husbands intelligence. I know he is smart but never thought of having high IQ level. I'm actually hoping our son will be like him. I'm trying my best to be a good mom to teach him anything eventhough his still young. Read for him and a lot of talking so he will start to collect words. They advice to let the baby hear more than 17 thousand words in a day. That's crazy! I can't do that, but I'm trying to explain to him every actions I'm doing. Parents are the contributors to kids dvelopments. So if you want your kids to have high IQ level, start while they are still inside the belly.

It's a Masterpiece!!!

Last Saturday my hubby told me "Dark Knight is out in the theaters ". I can really tell he wants to watch the movie, being a batman fan since he was a kid. I don't want to ruin his excitement , that's why I told him to go watch without me... because I know we can't bring our son in movie theater.

Yesterday my husband asked me "are you sure you want me to go without you?". He says just leave the baby to his brother. Instead of saying yes, because I want to watch too, I just say "watch with your brother so he will be happy". I want them to atleast do the same movie watching like what they do before me and our son.

After watching "The DARK KNIGHT (2008)", they just bought my favorite soup. At least they made me happy too. My husand told me the movie was great! They told me their experience while watching it, excitement in almost every scene. Very realistic special effects. Eventhough the movie has a PG13 rating, still very entertaining for adults. I'ts so excellent! Worth the money paid for the movie. His brother was also sharing his feeling while watching. He felt like his like eight years old watching the movie because the movie really amazed him. The best film he watch so far this year.

With what they told me, I'm looking forward to watch it. The tv screen is not that big but I will be contented to watch with our son. I'll wait till it will be available for renting. So to all who didn't watch it yet, do yourselves a favor to see this piece of art.

Are you a vocal person?

Every person has their own personalities. Good or bad its their choice how they handle their lives. Some are too vocal and some are too silent. What you think is the best? For me being vocal is better than without talking because silent type person possible they're talking at your back. I't like stubbing you without knowing who did it. Some silent people really so good person that they don't really wanna comment or they don't really know how to say it nice so they better shut up. On the other side the disadvantage of being too vocal is talking so much without checking if the person is still cool or not that may lead to fights. I'm a little bit vocal of what I know and just quiet if i dont have any idea. Playing safe because I don't wanna start an arguments. And if you wanna correct somebody, a tactful way of correcting someone is the best way. It's actually a skill how to deal with the sensitivity of other people. So for those who are so vocal have a diplomatic conduct so you can avoid antagonizing anyone.

I'm Amazed!!!

When the time our son is ready for vacation, we travel by land to California and Oregon to visit his great aunts, grandma and grandpa. We enjoy our time there but about the travel? No thanks, never again. Not nice for mommy, it was so hard to travel with baby. We are always on the road 16 hours to Sacramento, CA, to Enterprise, OR another 12 hours then back home another 8 hours. So crazy!

Staying with my parents-in-laws' new house it's like we paid for a hotel room. So nice I really felt comfortable. We enjoy the different views from their windows. Sunshine to sunset. We also enjoy the walks throught the mountains and view the Wallawa lake.

What amazed me most? When my mother-in-law gave me all the things my husband wores when he is still a baby! That's great! She kept all the baby things. Now our son waring all his dad's clothes, receiving blanket, crib blankets, sweat shirt, johnny jump up, toys and even his little shoes. You think it's amazing?

Toilet Training

Yesterday is my sons' 25th weeks. At 6 am my husband left for work, he woke me up to kiss me. Usually if I woke up our son also open his eyes and start to play. I'm so lazy to start the day, but what can i do but stand up. Prepare for breakfast and eat. Called home and my mom and dad enjoy their grandson voice. Our son actually responding to someone who is on the phone. They do enjoy it.

After talking to them at 9:50 in the morning, DJ acted like he wants to poop. I'm thinking of putting him on toilet and do it there. Eventhough I'm not sure if he response or not at least I've tried. So I took his diaper, put him on the toilet though i know its early for potty training. But after a minute or two, he started to do it until he finished. Wow! I save diaper today. I don't need to clean more poop on his butt. Just wipe and wash it with soap. I'ts a nice record for a baby at 25th week. Did poop at toilet bowl. I'm so excited and told my husband about it. At first he thought I'm joking because he's too young for it. So I showed him the pictures while his doing it. I even took gross picture just to prove.

To convinced myself that he did it yesterday, today I tried it again and did really works. I'm so glad my baby is so smart to response on things mommy tries. Made it so advance that supposed to be 18 to 24 months of age.

July 18 Prediction

This prediction honestly made me worry because before i read the article about it, I dreamed I'm in Philippines and something happened that my father told me my mom's gone and they can't find her. I kept crying and told them to find her because i believe she's fine. At least before I woke up we found my mom, with blood on her face but my mother assured by saying her ok.

I decide to call at least to inform them what i read. My mom just told me " Let it be if its God's plan, nothing we can do, thats the way he will correct wrong doings on earth." That's my mom. She never worries of anything. But still I insisted just be prepare. And other action I did is to tell all my friends about it and tell them to take care.

July 18 is past and nothing happen. No 8.1 earthquake in the Philippines. God is so good and that prediction is not true. Only God knows. So whoever predicts it, better stop it because its not working. Don't predict anymore. Human will never know what will happen next.

A lot of people dreamt of going abroad and work hard to earn money, support their family and give them nice future. Those target places are United States, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Hongkong, Australia, other European countries and some developed places. Where they can earn more than what they can earn on their country. A sure place where they can achieve their goal. Not all succeeded with what they want in their lives but still some do try their very best to uplift their situation in life. Whenever they made it they will face great transition in life. Living alone is not a joke. I'ts so hard to adjust in new environment, new culture, new people and new practices in everyday life.
In my case, I studied nursing and target to work in Saudi Arabia because i know it's not easy to go to United States. A lot of trainings, examinations to pass first and visa processing. So i never dreamt of going here. But with God's gift to me. I'm here and I'm so thankful for giving new direction of my life. With God nothing is impossible.

What I want in States? No"Chismoso or Chismosa". People mind their own business. No worries of what other peolpe may say about your looks, skin color, the clothes you wear and your grammar. They really don't care. Sad to say only in our country, a lot of people disturbs other lives. They don't care what will be the effect on the family. The crab mentality is always there. Instead of helping they are the one distroy the person. Creating stories to ruin ones life, the psychological effect on the person. This issue really made me mad. Anyway I know at the end God will punish for people like them.

There's really great transition on my case because i should learn their culture, understand their different way of thinking and their personality. Know the rules and regulations of their country. Transition from single life to married life. While i'm still trying to know about the country and adopt the different weather, I got pregnant! So another challenges in life. This is so much for me but I'm trying to survive. Now, moving forward as a mom and should know how to deal with parenting.

Started with KISSES

February 14 usually the day we receive chocolates from our partners. Sometimes birthdays and other occassions. That day my husband surprised me with tullips and kisses. That was my first Valentines day here. That's so sweet. We can't go out for dinner because i just gave birth two weeks ago so we just enjoy the moment at home.

Chocolate usually just stay overnight or next day or if its a lot we say one week is the most and stock is gone. Every night I'm used to eat chocolates with milk so from then on if only one left for this night i will feel sad. My husband is so sensitive and he notice that i really like chocolates. So from then on he always make sure theres chocolate stocks. Of course I'm happy for that.

Eating chocolate at night always makes me happy. With the chocolate stocks, I've found out that my husband is a chocolate eater too. He loves to buy dark chocolates. Before i dont enjoy the taste because to too much chocolate like I'm eating cocoa. Now im used to eat dark chocolates and always craving to eat after dinner. Oh my it all started with the kisses and now i can't stop it.

Listening to news everyday makes me feel bad. Killings, corruptions, economic crisis, tragedies and a lot more. News are always not good to hear. They alwasy focused on bad news. Sad to say it's happening to our world. Some news also are crazy. Like this case I've heard, the doctor was sued for putting temporary tattoo to his patient. A Rose tattoo beneath the panty line. The doctor actually admitted that he did it and he says its not his first time to do it. And the prior victims just took it as a joke since its just temporary tattoo. You think its a nice action to put tatto while your patient sleeping? They dont give him permission to do it. If your the patient or we say the husband of the patient, what will be your reaction? Are you ganna sue him too?

I share this to my partner and asked him what will be his reaction if the doctor does this to me. He right away tell me, he will punch the doctor on his face and of course sue him. He must learn how to respect his patients. Well I like my husbands' reaction. How about you? Are you ganna do the same?

There are a lot of ways how to comfort your friend or any body when they are broken hearted. Ask them to go out to drink or just a simple advice like saying "Don't worry theres a lot of fishes in the sea. I know its a commond advice. My instructor told me that when she saw me crying.

That time i was broken hearted. I can't really find an answer why he cheated on me. I'm drunk in school. That is the reason why i can't stop crying. The effect of alcohol on me. But when I heard her telling me that advice, she made me smile somehow. Start to relax from being crazy and comfort myself by telling "It's ok time will come i will be happy and he will really regret want he did to me." There's karma anyway! Cheaters never win! Well anyway cheating twice is not healthy anymore in a relationship. Yup five years in a relationship with somebody was not a joke. That's why Im also thinking it will be a waste if ill let go. But no more trust anymore so just let go and move on. Put in my mind that there will be someone for me that will love me and will be true to me.

That simple advice was so true. I've got another fish not only in Philippine Sea but in Pacific Ocean. They say my new boyfriend, who is my husband, he is a big fish not only "galunggong". I was so blessed God answered my prayers. I asked Him to give me the right person to love. Someone who will love me so much, true to me and will never make me cry. God didn't only grant what I asked. He also gave me bonuses because my husband is so handsome and so good to me. He is such a dream came true. I love him so much.

Before giving birth, me and my husband make sure his insurance will cover me. He really did all the changes on his new insurance since he's already married . Glad after all the effort I'm covered already. Maternity is on service too we don't have to worry. We are on Blue Cross and Blue Shield Insurance. We also make sure our baby will be delivered in a normal delivery so that we can afford the remaining bills.

With all the problems in delivery room, we are happy I delivered him normal vaginal delivery. But after 5 minutes of joy another problem occurred. Our son was transfered immediately to the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). I felt bad because our ideal plan did not work out. My husband suppose to cut the cord and I'll kiss the baby when he comes out. I'm disappointed we never experienced what we want.We stayed at NICU for about one week. Made me so emotional when we go home without our baby.We are so stressed out of the situation and thinking of the possible total of our bills. Month after giving birth, bills starts to pop up like mushrooms on our mail box. Even though we will only pay 10% of the total bills still it's so much! So crazy because our total bill amounting to $35,000. How I wish i gave birth in the Philippines because giving birth is not that expensive.

My husband deals with the bills because I still cant contribute yet. He tries to pay it little by little until we will be fully paid. One day somebody called me and asked me if i want to apply for medical assistance. I said sure! Why not? There's no harm in trying right? At least if approve we will not going to pay anymore bills. A great help to my husband. I'm so thankful to Zuzette of DSHS of Kent City for calling us. She told me she got my number from Akundi the nurse who visit us every two weeks to check our son. There are still people who really wanna help and doing their job. So we process our papers with Zuzettes' help and really hope for approval.

After one month, thank God we are qualified. I'm so grateful God sent them to help us on our problem. Such a great blessings. So to share my blessings, I pass my experienced to one of my friend who is pregnant right now. I advice her to apply. She did it and they are also approved. God is so good to all who ask Him. Thanks also to federal and state taxes for supporting the medicaid program.

Our son is growing so fast. He loves to crawl anywhere theres things attract his eyes. He has a lot of activities now. I really like his way of clapping. When I tell him to clap, he will hold his feet and start his feet clapping. It's so cute and nice to look at everytime he does it.

It's been already one year and three months since I move here. Happily married!!! My husband is so good and never gave me any problems. Our son always makes me so busy and help to go on. It's just me, I can't control thinking about Philippines. I miss my native land. Honestly its nice to live here, it's just you will really miss where you grew up. Sometimes I really wanna cry, i want to be there and be with my parents, sisters and brother, relatives and friends.

It's different to live away from your parents. They are not here to help. Especially with a baby, you will think and hope that you are with them. Thanks to my friends, they are always ready to talk and chat with me. With them, I was able to adjust little by little how to handle my emotions. My technique is to call anyone of my friends just to stop the feeling of being homesick. Thanks God He created friends, a true friends that is always ready to alleviate the feelings.

When we're still young, we always want to know things around us. Maybe not all are the same but I'm really curious especially the food that I loved to eat. Vegetables and fruits are the most important food to complete my day. My mom really likes me for that. All the vegetables and fruits I ate I really need to see the tree or know what is the look of the plants. And when I can see the plants or find answers to my questions I will be contented. Most plants I saw from my grandmothers' garden. All the vegetables, trees that bare fruits and even spices are there.

I saw a lot of plants such as pechay (Pak Choi), cabbage, kamote, kangkong, squash, white squash, bitter melon, eggplant ( the long violet and the round green), green beans, long beans, string beans, raddish, okra, and tomatoes. For spices I saw ginger, onion, chili peppers, ordinary peppers, and I'm so surprise when I saw black peppers. Vine type plant and like grapes.

Almost all the trees and plants that produce fruits I already saw. I love to climb and really pick it and contentment is always there. I climbed mango tree, guava tree, guyabano, wild atis, sugar apple ( atis), avocado, dalandan, pomelo (suha), durian, lanzones, mangosteen, jackfruit, coconut, papaya, santol, star fruit, tambis and rambotan. We cut banana tree to harvest the fruit and cut sugar cane.Picked pineapples, watermelon and peanuts. And I saw grapes too! It was a great vacation for a me because almost all what i want to see was there, but still there's one thing lacking. An Apple tree. Ever since I was a kid I've always wanted to see an apple tree. Unluckily, tropical country can't have it. So I accepted the fact that I can't see an actual apple tree.

I grew up forget about my curiosity. Got married, get pregnant and on my first prenatal, guess what? I saw an apple tree! So happy ever and I really pick one. Sometimes in our life we never knew the things we really want will be given to us.

Two months ago I've heard a news talking about online opportunity. I'ts about paid blogging websites. Another way of introducing and selling the products online. The news really made me think I want to be like them. How can I be one of those bloggers who earn money at home. I wanna earn to help my husband on our expenses but i can't work yet because no one will take good care of our son. Thats why online opportunity really buzz me.

My friend Hazel did inform me what to do. I followed her instructions and start browsing the net to know the world of blog marketing and blog advertising. I'm so thankful because through browsing and reading others' blogs I found the site and hoping to start the online opportunity for me. A smile that always makes us happy. Forget the bad day at work. With him in our life, its so easy for us to smile. They say kids are bundles of joy. Yes i can attest to that. Eventhough you don't have your complete freedom but they give joy that you can't measure.

Time so fast, he's almost six months. Everytime I can see new developments, it makes me feel so emotional. He can crawl now. Goes to every directions he wants. Always shouting and making sounds. All his toys are always on his mouth. He loves to go outside and stares to things that new to him. He's always looking around. Such a doll. I feel like next time I know he's walking already and I guess all my time will always for him, so nothing will happen to him.

Mother in Law

A lot of negative comments I've heard about mother in laws. They always say before deciding to get marry consider the parents in law especially the mom. Made me think why? I asked my mama about it. She told me if your mother in law doesn't like you, your married life will have a lot of challenges. In all things you do, there are always corrections. "Do this", "don't do like that", "this is the way you must do it", "you know what before" and she's always on your way on decision making. But my mama reminded me "it doesn't matter because your not going to marry your parents in law. You will live with your husband anyway. Just listen and forget about it.

Luckily, I was blessed to have a wonderful parents in law. They love me so much to the extend they give what I needed. They are so supportive. They provide the things we don't have yet and always ready to help. My mother in law also reminded me to stop her if she goes beyond the line.

Last week they visited us and it's my first time to shop that mom paid for it. She was so happy to get those girl things for me. Since she never experience buying for a daughter, she's doing it now for me.She gladly told me that she also enjoyed the moment we are at the store. And telling me she's lucky to have a daughter in law like me.

English Class

English subject again? this is the thought always on my mind everytime I have english class. Always worried and nervous of my situation in class specially recitation time. You know kids attitude to laugh at your mistakes. When I'm a kid I remember I hate this subjects but I never failed, its just my lowest grade ever. I hate when people laugh at me in terms of wrong grammar, wrong spelling, and wrong pronunciation!!! I really felt embarrassed or we say disconcerted by sarcastic remarks.

Since then I don't wanna share what I wrote. It's always teacher and me only. I still don't have that confidence even though I got high grades on my essays. On my college days I love essay type of examinations because I'm sure I will pass the exam. Not to brag but not only passing marks but excellent... I admit there are corrections from my instructors but at least those smart ideas was expelled. The worst part I experienced in my college life was on debate class, what a challenge...I'm so afraid i might not be able to response right away to other opponent or give brilliant ideas for us to win. I'm thinking I might fail for the first time on my english class. Luckily I passed, what a blessing. That was tough!

Looking at my situation now, I need to talk English all the time.Gosh! Funny but at least i thank english sudject now. I'm so happy I know how to speak english or else I can't communicate with my husband and no way for us to be us. I'm so thankful that our country uses english textbooks to learn new knowledges. You know what? somebody ask me "when did you learn english?" I told her since kinder they already thought us english words. Then she told me in their country ( Panama) they need to enroll special class to learn english. Filipinos are so lucky, we dont need to be rich to know how to speak english. I appreciate english subjects now, i understand why we need to learn foreign language. Somehow today i have little confidence to do this things. My first time to write something that other people can read. Thanks to my friend Hazel. She's the one who encourages me to write something and share the goodness of what we have.

Blessings from God
